We purchased this scooter last month for my son's 7th birthday. He had been using his old, 3 wheeled razor scooter since he was 4 and it was definitely time for a new one. When i took him to the store he only had slight interest in the 2 wheel models that you see everywhere so i went online and found a ton of reviews for the Maxi Kick. It was definitely more than I wanted to pay, but it's been great! He loves riding it to the point where he's out there for hours and I have to force him come inside. The ride is so smooth and that thing turns on a dime! I also loved that it was SIMPLE to put together.
I am actually going to buy 2 more of these for my twin 4 yr olds for their next birthday. Now that they have seen this one, they can't stand riding theirs...and I don't blame them one bit. Great Scooter!

The Swiss-designed maxi, like its sibling the mini (for kids ages 3-5), has a lean-and-steer mechanism that makes it unique and fun, giving kids the feeling of surfing the sidewalks as they curve and carve. The maxi Scooter has won several awards, including the prestigious Oppenheim Portfolio's Gold and Platinum Award Seals for 2009, as well as the Oppenheim SNAP award seal.
