Noted for its ease of use, the seat takes just a few minutes to install and remove, and it is equally easy and safe to load and unload the child from the seat. Providing plenty of clearance for the knees so that the adult can bike with ease, the seat is positioned so that it is easy to maintain the center of gravity. This adaptable seat fits any adult bike with a minimum of 3/4 inches of clearance on the handlebar stem.
The iBert Safe-T seat was developed after its creators became frustrated with the available bike seat options for children. They found that bike trailers kept their kids uncomfortably far away from them, got too hot in the sun, and only provided a limited view out to the children. The rear-mounted seats presented similar problems. The kids had a limited view and it was difficult to interact with them. Additionally, the balance of the bike was off and it was not easy to load and unload the kids. Other front mounted seats were complicated to hook onto the bike and difficult to remove. These seats also did not allow knee clearance for biking, and as a result were not comfortable.
The iBert Safe-T seat offers a variety of safety and comfort advantages compared to other child bike seat options. The iBert Safe-T seat allows you to maintain control of the bike when loading and unloading your child. To load and unload the child, you simply straddle the bike and lift the child into or out of the seat. When using the iBert seat you can always see what your child is doing and you can make sure that your child is safe and comfortable at all times. The center of gravity in the iBert seat is closer to the center of the bike making it easier to control the bike as you ride. The seat sits higher on the bike and is smooth on the bottom so that even tall riders rarely brush the bottom of the seat with their knees and if they do they just glide along the smooth edges on the bottom.
The iBert Safe-T seat is easy to install. The patented stinger assembly attaches to any bike with a minimum of 3/4 inches on the handle bar stem. The stinger system attaches to the bike in just two minutes and the seat can then be attached and detached from the stinger in 15 seconds. If you buy additional stinger assemblies the seat can be attached to multiple bikes.
The iBert Safe-T seat is made in the U.S.A. with safety and quality as the main objectives. While the iBert Safe-T seat is designed to meet all 1625-00 standards, at this time ASTM 1625-00 is written for rear child carriers not front mounted seats.

I purchased the iBert seat after weeks of research between the different bike seats and also bike trailers. I liked the idea of having closer interaction with my child during our rides together. I didn't realize how easy it would be to have my daughter on my bike. I was used to the seats mounted on the back, and if the child moved you could feel every movement. With this I don't feel anything when she decides to go on a pointing spree. I like that I am able to hear all of the jibber jabber my little one has to say. This seat feels sturdy and mounted very easily. I like that I can remove it easily and ice cream and other things wash off nicely. Since this is a new style of seat I've taken it around to different bike shops and let them look at it. One bike shop is trying to get it in their inventory after trying it out with my daughter in the seat. This seat is wonderful and I recommend it to all my friends who have children. I've even given it as a baby shower gift to some of my friends. I'm looking forward to many more years of use out of this seat.Customer Review: We had to get a Second one!

We got our first Ibert seat just after Christmas for our 16 month old. Immediately there were problems. Our 2-and-a-half-year-old who we thought would be too big for it was constantly wanting to go for rides in it and they would fight over who got to sit in it. My kids hate car seats and strollers, but they love this seat. We got a second one and they both love to go for family rides. We are always getting comments on them. It's really nice to be able to talk to the child while we're riding. We love them.
Just one insight on how they fit on different bikes. When we first got the Ibert I put it on a mountain bike and it fit okay, but there wasn't much clearance space between my child's head and me (I'm 5'5") because you have to lean forward to ride on a mountain bike. But when I put the seat on my beach cruiser there is no problem with clearance between child and rider. So if you are short like me, a bike with an upright seating position will give the most comfortable ride with this seat. I love this seat! Best one out there!

We have a (now) 2-year old that we wanted to go biking with. We had a trailer, which he hated--he'd spend the whole ride crying, wanting to get out and be with us. I saw these ride-up-front baby-seats, but was concerned I would be hitting my knees because because I'm quite tall. We chose the iBert because it looked like it gave a little more leg-room. I also liked the tilt of the legs on the seat, so my toddler can't try to stand up while we're riding. We all LOVE it! Instead of crying about riding, he now wants to go every time he sees the bike. I love having him up with me, knowing he's safe and sound (he was always slipping around in the trailer). I only wish I had gotten it when he was younger, so I could have the maximum amount of time with it. Installation couldn't have been easier, either. It truly took 5 minutes. One more thing I want to mention, I called the company directly before I ordered, and I believe I spoke with the woman who designed it herself, and she was VERY nice, helpful, and accomodating.Customer Review: Best Child Bike Seat Out There!!!

This thing is great! We first tried a rear seat that someone gave us and our 18 month daughter could not hold her head up while wearing a helmet because the back of the seat didn't allow room for it, so she was unhappy and uncomfortable when we tried it a couple times. Who wants to have a view of their parent's butt, anyway?
We have used this thing almost everyday since getting it three weeks ago and she LOVES it, almost too much :) It is easier to balance the bike because her weight is located at the center of the bike. She loves the view, and I love that I can look down and she her smiling from having fun!
It went right on my bike, we got an extra stinger mount from our local baby botique for my hubby's bike, it took a little extra effort to raise his handle bars to accomodate the mount, but is worth it to easily switch the seat from bike to bike.
Again, highly recommended by our whole family! Makes biking with your kids safer and more fun.

This is my second iBert. If you want your kids to see where you are going and feel the breeze this is the only way to go. It is well made and safe. I have pedaled about 50 miles over 2 years with it. It is extremely easy to install. This new one is a bit improved (the buckle is easier, and is now padded).
It is nicely balanced and does not impede steering, maybe a bit but limiting.
Pros:
- I can see my child without doing a dangerous full body twist to see them.
- Kids can see ahead
- They can feel the breeze
- They are nice and snug and feet cant be kicked into the wheel.
- Very easy to install
- Easy to get on and off the bike
- Easy to get your child in and out
- Lightweight
Cons:
- Knee clearance, if you bike frame is a bit small or you have long legs, this could be an annoyance. On my the bike I had before it was an minor issue, but my new hybrid bike with a large frame, it is no longer an issue.
