I have owed Zippo lighters since my military days (1966 - 1969) and I can honestly articulate they haven't changed in quality and usefulness in all these years. My last Zippo went through the "test of time" enduring twelve (12) years of reliable service. I decided to get the Zippo Black Ice Pocket Lighter as its replacement, but any fluid model lighter would have worked (it's according to your case style). The Black Ice Pocket Lighter is durable on the inside, lights with just one flick and should last for long time even with severe use. Like many other reviews pertaining to the exterior color; this lighter is not black and doesn't even come close to being black. The chrome exterior is slightly shaded being more dull compared to a bright chrome finish. I could care less about the fingerprints it leaves on the finish, it's a lighter not a 1.8 million dollar Bugatti Veyron. If you're looking for a reliable, durable fluid lighter made in the USA I highly recommend any style Zippo Fluid Fueled Lighter; you won't be disappointed.
