Well, my reason for having to buy a fan like this is two-fold: (1) I was having hot flashes (at a young age and much to my dismay) and needed a way to "cool myself" while working; and (2) since I work in a cubicle, we are not allowed to plug in appliance-type items - such as a fan or space heater - because of wiring restrictions. Thus, I had to find a way to cool myself with something battery operated. Amazon.com was the first place I looked. When I saw this fan got 5 stars, I had to buy it. It is exacty as the other reviews describe. The amount of air it blows with ony 6 batteries is amazing. (I have some electric fans that don't put out this much air!) Plus, it's light weight and offers a light. This is a super bargain for what you get. Highly, highly recommend it!

The Wenzel Light/Fan combines two essential pieces of camping equipment into one compact unit. A five-blade fan operates in two forward and reverse speeds to improve air circulation in your tent, while the light comes in handy for reading and navigating around the campsite.
