After experimenting with a variety of air beds (Intex, Coleman, JC Penney brand, etc.) for both ourselves and our guests, and suffering from many restless nights and backache, we found this Wenzel bed and decided to give it a shot after having read other great reviews. Our guests loved it! We love it even more! Truly awesome bed and I must admit better than many mattresses. Just don't overinflate! It has both an inner and an outer chamber (two built-in pumps) which is great. We elevate the center of the bed with a full-size mattress topper pad and I must say, it is very comfortable and great for your hips and back. This is an awesome bed. I had an expensive Aero-bed before, which was good, but cost a lot and the built-in pump failed after a while. This bed is big, and it is tall, just about as tall as a boxspring and mattress on a frame. It inflates till it is as firm as a mattress. It has 2 chambers, one that inflates a supportive outer frame when inflated and one that fills in the inner main portion of the bed. The electric pump that inflates it also deflates it so it will fit back into the tote. I moved into temporary housing while I'm going to school for a year and a half, and rather than carrying a bed up a few flights of stairs, I opted for this bed. I purchased this in December 2009 and realized I had never reviewed it. I have had two different air mattresses in the past: An Aerobed purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond and an unknown brand purchased at BJ's Warehouse. Both mattresses developed tiny leaks after one or two uses and, despite diligently repairing every leak, a new one quickly developed. After reading the reviews of this brand, I decided to give it a try. So far, no leaks, my husband and I slept comfortably through the night, and it was simple to inflate and deflate. After almost a year of occasional use (probably used six times in eight months), I can confidently declare this one to be a winner.Customer Review: Awesome

It has beaten my expectations. The built-in pump works great and it doesn't take long before the bed is inflated.
Also, it stays inflated. We have kept it in our living room for almost a month now as a "couch" until our furniture will arrive.
During this period we also had a guest sleeping on it for 10 days. I had to inflate it very shortly 2 times.
I have slept on other inflatable beds that required inflation during the night.
The bed is awesome. Only minus is I expected and ordered the bed to arrive in "black", but it was "army green". I can live with that.

I read reviews before making this purchase. I wanted to get it because it met all the things I wanted, and was willing to put up with slow inflation and deflation to get them. Well, I don't know why someone thinks it is slow unless they have only a couple of minutes to accomplish the task. We find the inflation/deflation times acceptable. It is a comfortable bed and looks good. We have not yet used it for guests but laying on it feels very nice. We got it for overflow situations so it will be used only on those occasions and I think it will be perfect. Our family has lots of arthritis and the height makes it quite good for getting into and out of bed.
