As a grad student, I was looking for a temporary mattress to use until I could afford a regular bed, but I read such glowing reviews from people who used it as a full-time mattress that I figured it was worth a shot, and I couldn't be happier with it! It inflates quickly and easily, and is surprisingly comfortable. Firmness varies with how much you inflate it; I've been sleeping on it consistently for the past few weeks and have pumped extra air in it just once-- and it's as firm as it was on the first day. I bought a mattress pad for a little extra cushioning, but the bed is really supportive and comfortable without one, especially for an air mattress. Sheets fit fine, which I was nervous about (it's not as though you can tuck them in on an air mattress); I tend to move around in my sleep but the sheets stay put, which is awesome. I actually bought this as a gift for my brother & sister-in-law who don't have a spare bedroom in their home. If I want to spend time with them and enjoy my three nephews, I have to sleep on an airbed in their livingroom. However, last time I visited them I woke up around 2AM with these two, huge, bulging masses on either side of me and I was on the ground. Needless to say, that airbed had bitten the dust. So, I replaced it with this queen size Wenzel Insta-Bed. It took about 90 seconds to inflate and I slept comfortably for the three nights I stayed with them. I liked that it was nice and high off the ground, didn't have that icky vinyl smell, and I never once had a problem with the bed loosing air. The morning I left, the bed deflated easily and I packed it back into it's little sleeping bag sized holder. For me, this is a nice product and it made a nice gift.Customer Review: Love This Bed!!!

I purchased this bed about a month ago and I don't regrett a thing. I read about every review and searched other stores for what I thought would be the best purchase. For some reason I kept coming back to this one and I'm glad I did. With the build in pump inflation was a breeze, it took approx. 5 mins. You just want to be sure to have everything cleared away, because this is a "big" bed (queen). I purchased the mattress cover in queen size, wish I would have gotton king because it does slip up a little. However I did purchase king sheets and covers and it was perfect.
As far as loosing air...maybe every 4 days, I'll inflate for just a minutes and it's back to the firmness I prefer.
I'm even sleeping better so I happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others. The other point for me...I don't worry about bed bugs!!!!!!!

This mattress was the BEST investment I ever made. Though this product is not specifically rated for camping, we used it for one full week this August. It has a nice velvety top, is easy to tell which side is "up" and inflates readily. An all contained unit, we even tested it out before camping just to "be sure" it would be okay. It is large, full and big enough for two full sized adults to sleep comfortably. The sheets don't lift and travel up during the night so they stay put. It did not deflate during the night either. It is a nice, bed height and aside from a little fluffing each night before bed, it held it's air as it was supposed to.
If you are looking for something comfortable, more than just one night, possibly long term and don't want to spend a fortune, this is the bed for you! We loved it... it was worth every cent!

We wanted to get an air mattress for guests we were expecting. We have purchased them before and they were very disappointing. They were either uncomfortable or they wouldn't hold air for very long. Any amount of movement when lying on them, didn't help.
We decided to try Amazon.com. After reviewing the different air mattresses that they showed and discribed, we read the reviews that were given on those products. We decided on the Wenzel Insta-bed and we feel we absolutely made the right choice. It was easy to set up and take down. It's very very comfortable. Our guests enjoyed it so much, they wanted to pack it up and take it home with them. They said they were as comfortable as they are in their bed at home and slept great!
We are very pleased with our purchase and we recommend this product to everyone!
