The seat is made from an injection-molded plastic form, and it features a comfortable padded foam seat, height adjustable foot cups, and a fully adjustable three-point security harness. The Padded pedestal armrest sitting atop the handlebars gives children somewhere comfortable to put their hands, and can serve as a headrest for the napping toddler.
The steel support bar is an independent support system that does not interfere with brake cables or other attached bicycle gear. It includes different sizes of plastic spacers for the front yoke attachment and rear seat post to protect the posts and ensure it fits on almost any recreational bicycle available. It's easily removable for when you want to ride on your own.
It can be used with mountain/city bikes with upright handlebars (with drop-handled racing handlebars, the rider leans forward too much for the child to sit comfortably). Children should be at least 1 year old, and it has a maximum weight capacity of 40 pounds. I had been looking for a seat for my 3 year old son. He is 37 inches tall and weighs about 34 pounds. First, I ordered the Wee-ride co-pilot and my husband installed it on my bicycle (26" Women's Schwinn Tornado). It installed fine but was a little wobbly and my son was a little small (and nervous) on the seat. I found the Kangaroo Bicycle seat and after reading the reviews, ordered it. It took about 5 minutes max to install. My son and I have ridden using the seat a few times now and we LOVE it! It is comfortable for him, my knees don't hit (I am 5'4")and my center of gravity is fine. Also, I have plenty of room to see over his head and I can talk to him as we are riding. I would recommend this seat to those who are looking around.Customer Review: Awesome!

All I can really say about this. Have it on my Trek 7200 and it works fine. Not really noticed a change in riding style. Really love that my son is up front, makes the rides so much more enjoyable. He is constantly pointing things out and that makes it extremely fun. Plus as he got older he could reach forward and ring the bell. Only complaint I have is that he has outgrown it (had it for 2 summers) and now I must find something else. Maybe the Chariot Side Carrier, I can't see putting him behind me now as he has been up front this whole time.
I also bought a second bar, thought would put it on my wife's bike, didn't happen, my fault for not measuring, women's bikes are hard to fit these things too.

This is a great product. My main concern was safety. I intially thought a lot about gettng a bike trailer but did not feel comfortable (not safe and also expensive). But with this Front Child Bike Seat, the baby really enjoys the ride and our bike ride time passes with lot of fun. I have a mountain bike and it fitted was perfectly. My baby is 15 months old and I wonder how long I can use this product. I love the design, fitting and material of the product. I hightly recommend this product to others. I've been using the Wee Ride for some time now and my daughter and I both love it! I've even had people stop me on the street to ask where I got it and how they can get one. It seems I'm not the only parent who feels uncomfortable having my child behind me where
a) I can't see her and
b) She throws off my center of gravity.
Plus, this way she gets to see where we are headed instead of just a close up of my back. Another great thing about it is how easy it is to remove if you want to ride without it! Takes less than 30 seconds! This was a great investment my daughter and I have gotten hours of enjoyment out of and I plan to hang on to it for when I have another child.

This is a great seat and it works better than I thought it would. My little one is around 25 pounds and she fits great. The seat does look real small but I think she will be able to grow into it for a while yet. As others mentioned it does make you ride a little "frog-legged" but doesn't bother me all that much. As I am new to riding a bike (since childhood) it definately takes more effort when you add a child to your load but I know it will get easier as I get the hang of it. Assembly was easy although the instructions were a little confusing it wasn't hard to figure out, probably took 30 minutes. All in all my daughter loves it and we look forward to many bike rides together!
