We bought this tandem bike with free shipping directly from Amazon. It shipped very quickly, was easy to assemble and our 4 and 1/2 year old loves it. she is a little tall for her age, so I am not sure if a shorter 4 year old would do as well. She loves the flag in the back that helps motorists see the bike and she pedals all the time. Definitely worth the money! At first there is a little getting used to having a kid on the back throwing the balance off (my daughter is still in training wheels on her regular bike), but this was never really an issue-- just an observation. I also think that it is helping her learn how to balance on a bike so that she can soon ride her own bike without her training wheels.Customer Review: FAMILY FUN!!!

We LOVE our co-pilot! We waited until our little girl was 4 years old (got it for her 4th birthday) to get this for her since on our family bike rides we'd have to wait for her. She had a little trouble at first getting her little legs to the bottom of the petals with the seat in the lowest position (and she's TALL). So when she'd petal you'd feel it in the front leaning to each side. As she's gotten a bit taller, it is a bit better. That just might be the nature of the product though. I read the other reviews about the back falling over, well yeah, it's on a pivoting hinge so it can turn with the adult bike but it also twists. FUN for the family! I have a 4 yr old boy and a 6 yr old girl. Took training wheels off 6 yr old's bike last week and got the WeeRide copilot for the 4 yr old. The WeeRide is fantastic! The quality is fine and I anticipate only using it for 1 year or so and therefore did not need high end components. The clamp bolts to the seat post, but there is a quick release to remove the WeeRide from the clamp for storage. My 4 yr old loves being a copilot and a back seat driver. He was singing during the entire ride. The flag is nice to identify an extra long bike to cars. If you want to cycle and have 3-5 yr olds, buy this inexpensive, temporary solution and get your fanny on the bike!Customer Review: Love this!

Our five year old is pretty slim. He was struggling to get his bike going and really hated the wobble of the training wheels. He wasn't biking much and we could tell he was scared of falling over, even though it was unlikely. Anyway, we wanted him to feel how to balance and to enjoy biking more. So we got the WeeRide. We've done a few family bike rides and wow! We're all having fun and getting places. Our son loves it. No stigma attached - he's helping pedal. It turns nicely and seems safe. I'd love to get another attachment piece so we could switch from my bike to my husband's without tools. My husband and I took our soon-to-be 4-year-old daughter on a trail ride today with our new Co-Pilot. She LOVED it! She's old enough to want to participate in the ride rather than be closed up in the bike trailer, but not old enough to really pedal on her own and keep up with us adults. This was perfect! The first time out, she kept her balance and was helping to pedal a bit.
Many of the reviews mentioned that this is a bit tall for young kids. It just barely fit her legs to reach the pedals, with the seat at its lowest point, and she's tall for her age of 4.
