Sturdy construction construction - just like a regular 20" bicycle with regular handlebars, seat, and pedals. Attaches easily and quickly to almost any bicycle with a seatpost, and folds up for storage when not in use. And it even comes with a safety flag to alert motorists. The Co-Pilot is great for the whole family, nothing says togetherness like a family bike ride ! Customer contact information at 1-800-451-KENT (5368) or www.kentbicycles.com
Train a child how to ride a bike without dealing with training wheels with the WeeRide Co-Pilot bike trailer. The Co-Pilot--which attaches quickly and easily to almost any bicycle with a seat post--is just like a regular bike, with handlebars, a seat, and pedals for your youngster.

The Co-Pilot's quick-release system detaches easily from your bike.
However, you have control of the actual ride, including speed, balancing, braking, and steering, while your child tags along. It's a great way to teach basic biking skills and safety without giving up control before he or she is ready. Your son or daughter and pedal to help you along or just coast and enjoy the scenery.

The Co-Pilot is equipped with a true quick-release system for quick detachment from the adult bike, along with adjustable handlebars that accommodate children of different heights. In addition, the seat is more comfortable and better built than typical bike trailer seats, so your child will want to keep riding throughout the day. And once you arrive at your destination, the arms fold up easily for compact storage. Other features include an attractive black and silver color scheme, a safety flag and handlebar pad, and a 20-inch wheel size. The Co-Pilot--which holds up to 75 pounds--weighs 24 pounds by itself and is recommended for ages 4 to 9.

Customer Review: A nice bike
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I've been a competitive bike racer for the last 10 years (road races and criteriums) and I was looking for a way to include my 4.5 year old daughter in some of my rest day rides. This weeride is easy to set up and is remarkably stable when pulled.

First I had it connected to my townie single speed but since it only weighs 15lbs it was pretty unsteady as the weeride outweighed it by a large margin. Then I hooked it up to my Trek Fuel full suspension mtn bike and the ride is much better and more stable. I've got slick tires on it right now and it rolls easily.

My daughter loves riding behind me around the neighborhood and it's a great way for me to do an easy spin for an hour or so as a rest day from heavy training. Her ride is safe and stable and we both love it. Highly recommended. I did put a mirror on my bars to keep an eye on her and for traffic. Btw she's smallish for a 4yo and I've got the seat all the way down and it fit's her fine.

Customer Review: Works for us!!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

We bought this product so that we could ride on trails and streets with our 6yr without the obvious worries that one would have with her on her own bike. also, our daughter was still using training wheels so we hoped this might give her a better sense of balance for her own bike.
The Co Pilot was fairly easy to install. The only glitch we had (and it was a big one) was that we never saw where in the instructions to tighten the handlebars. It tells you to wait until the end of the installation but never reminds you again. Consequently, she got thrown off the bike on the first turn of the trial run because of the loose handlebars. Once this was fixed, the bike worked great. My daughter asks all the time to ride and we all really enjoy it. We added an aftermarket kickstand so the bike was more secure when parked. We have been VERY pleased with it!

Customer Review: WeeRide Trailer Bike a Hit!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Excellent quality construction and components - something I was worried about sight unseen. Extremely stout fittings, couplings and quick disconnects. My 4.5 year old and I are having a blast! I feel much safer with him behind me rather than him beside me peddling like mad to keep up and in the path of oncoming bikers. Setup was smooth except for one small but critical detail. The swing bar mechanism that pivots up/down and side-to-side was a bit over-tightened and it would not pivot at all. The 6mm allen bolts would not come loose with a standard allen wrench, but fortunately I had a 6mm allen socket mount for my ratcheting wrench or I never would have been able to loosen it without breaking the standard, flimsy allen wrench. Other than that, it is excellent quality and performs extremely well, and I recommend it highly.

Customer Review: Mom & Dad LOVE IT!!!!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

We just bought this bike and it came 3 days before this family bike ride event we wanted to do. I tested it out first with my 7 year old daughter and it seemed simple. You need to learn to balance a little more but not much where you can't do it. She knows to hang on always. So we did the bike ride with this attachment because it was 16 miles...she can't ride that long on her own bike so this way, she can rest if she wanted or pedal if she wanted. We loved it! It was really cool and we were on trails, on streets.......she could help me when on a hill, we didn't have one problem with it. No complaints at all and I hope it stays that way. We took about 3 hours to finish the entire thing and it was great! She really liked it! You do have to watch corners or turn-arounds, you need to go VERY wide but otherwise, happy to have it!

Customer Review: Family Bike Rides are finally a reality!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

The wee ride co pilot is great! I just bought my wife and I cruisers and my 4 year old has his own small bike. He's too young to go very fast and has trouble on hills because he still has training wheels. I bought this and now I don't have to worry about where he's riding and his Mom and I can go at our pace. He loves it and is much more comfortable than on his own bike. The hinge swings beutifuly and the bracket that attaches to the adult bike is very solid. The reviewer who said it turns on the seat post didn't spend more than a few minutes wiht the bike before writing that. You have to loosen the hinge bolt so that the arm swings and doesn't tork on the post. Disconnecting and reconnecting the bike can be done in less than a minute. I don't see why anyone would spend the extra dollars on the expensive tows.
