the search is over. I've been scoping out beach/camp chairs for over a year. I found that I liked one because it had a footrest and another because of its height off the ground and that one because it had an adjustable back or that one because it was mesh and that one because it had storage and..... You get the picture. But I never found one single chair that had ALL the features I wanted. I started searching very seriously because it was my L.A.M.P.'s (Living As Married People) birthday and I came across the LR-4. Halleluiah!!! I felt my search was over. (I HAD to buy one for myself too.) The chairs arrived. I ripped open the box, popped out the chair and plopped down in it. It was heaven. But there was a problem. I was going to have to wait for a couple of weeks to use it because of the LAMP's birthday. I gave it to him a day early so we could use them at a blues concert in the park. We set up, I reclined, I read, and I fell asleep for the rest of the show. It was beautiful. I had people coming up asking me where I'd bought the chair. Apparently there are 'others' out there who need the perfect beach/camp chair. It's neither too heavy nor is the cup holder too small. Granted, it doesn't hold my large bottle of Pellegrino but really, how lazy would I be if I couldn't reach the 9" down beside me to retrieve it? We went to another blues concert in the park this last weekend (free blues every weekend!) and same thing - plop into chair, eat a bit, read, go to sleep with blues in the background. So nice!
