Description of Wald 742 Training Wheels (16-26-Inch)
Three slots on the brace arm allows these wheels to mount to most bicycles measuring 16 to 26 inches.
- Features 5 1/2" Diameter plated steel wheels with rubber tires
- Intended for use by riders weighing up to 125 pounds
- Brace arms are designed to fit rear frames tubes up to .75 inches in diameter
The Wald 742 Training wheels provide the stability required to learn to pedal and operate a bike. The pair of training wheels can be installed on any single speed bike with 16, 20, 24, or 26-inch wheels. The sturdy, 5.5-inch diameter wheels boast steel construction with rubber tires for traction. They mount to the bicycle with 3/4-inch stays.
Please note: These training wheels cannot be installed on bikes with derailleurs.

I went through 3 other sets of training wheels for my special needs son's 20 inch bike before finding these. My son weighs 85 pounds, plus a heavy bike, and previous sets folded under the weight. I was nervous trying these training wheels out, expecting to be disappointed, but they are every bit as strong and sturdy as they claim. My son is not very well balanced yet and we needed training wheels that would not bend or allow him to easily tip over. We went through three different brands before we found these and they are excellent, very strong and durable. I was searching for a set of training wheels that would be durable enough to last through two kids. These are it! I found several sets of plastic wheels that were slightly adjustable. I bought these wheels for my grandaughter who is afraid to ride a two wheel bike. She is nine and these wheels are strong enough for her bike and she feels confident now when she rides. Hopefully, in a few months, she will graduate and start riding without them.
