Customer Review: Really tough......
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I have had training wheels before, for my daughters. However these were for my Granddaughter. Got them out of the box and the braces would not fit over the frame of the bike. The frames are wider then they used to be 30 years ago. Being the sort of person I am( in my mind I can fix anything) I preceded with a length of 1 inch black pipe and a 3 lb sledge to try and make the brace wide enough to fit the bikes frame. Let me tell you, these things are tough. After beating the snot out of them, they fit perfect. 30 years ago the training wheels I bought could just be bent with your hands, not these. They would not fit out of the box, that was a slight minus, but to me just a challange. I am giving them the highest rating, because they are just so darn tough.

Customer Review: Sturdy Training Wheels
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

The problem I had with other training wheels is that they were not sturdy enough to last very long. So, I ordered 2 sets of Wald Training Wheels for both my kids. They are extremely sturdy, however the horizontal stabilizer bars were too thick to work on our bikes. I had to purchase two $8 sets of training wheels from WalMart to get the right size stabilizers. This modification, plus the addition of 2 metal clamps per bike ($1.25 ea) to hold the stabilizers in place, made them great! Even with the additional $21 for modifications, the price was still much less than other training wheels. I highly recommend Wald training wheels.

Customer Review: Great American training wheels
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Thought these were HIGH quality training wheels. Unfortunately, this particular one did not fit our bike. Before buying, HIGHLY recommend checking out the dimensions listed to make sure that they will fit. We ended up returning because they did not fit, however, we were so impressed with Wald, we bought the other WALD training wheels that did fit our bike. We first tried some China brand that sold for 11.99, but they bent the first time my 40 lb son used them.. needless to say, we quickly returned them. We are very happy with these and did not mind paying a bit more for good old American quality.

Customer Review: Great product
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

These training wheels are a great product. They are easy to put on the bicycle and are easy to adjust. I fell while riding my bicycle in August 2008 and broke the ulna and radius in my forearm. I just needed a little extra courage to begin riding again and these training wheels have really helped. I was leaning too far over into a turn and these training wheels have helped me to correct those sloppy riding habits. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Customer Review: Just what we needed!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

My nine-year-old son finally decided he was ready to learn to ride a bike. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find training wheels locally to fit a 24-inch bike. A bike shop told me it would cost $100 for training wheels to fit a 24-inch bike. When I got home, I hopped on Amazon and found these in no time. These do the trick, and he is happily riding around with no problems. Bought a second set for a 20-inch bike for my six-year-old. Very pleased.
