I was on the fence about which baskets to buy for a while. After looking at dozens of different kinds, I finally went with these - and they are brilliant. All-around excellent baskets: solid construction, attractive finish, no squeaking or rattling at all when I ride. These baskets fit one standard-sized grocery bag, and they are capable of carrying a lot more than I can comfortably haul on my bike. I've loaded them up with milk, fruit juice, beer, wine and all sorts of other heavy groceries and the only thing straining is me. When not in use, they fold up to less than an inch thin. The clip that holds them in place is tight, but this ensures that they do not squeak or rattle. All the necessary hardware for mounting them is included, but if you plan on carrying heavy things be sure to get a strong rear rack to mount the baskets on. The exact configuration of the baskets will vary from bike to bike, but they are very easy to install in all cases and can be adjusted if you need more room so your foot doesn't hit the side of the basket when you're pedaling. This is only an issue when the baskets are deployed - when they're collapsed, they have an extremely low profile and don't get in the way of anything. Perhaps the only downside to these baskets is their weight - I can definitely tell that my bike is a few pounds heavier, but when I'm hauling stuff that is many times the weight of the baskets and the mounting rack combined, it doesn't really matter.
If you're like me and are still undecided about which bike baskets to buy, stop wasting time and buy these ones! I personally find the black ones better looking, and the finish is solid and hasn't shown any signs of wear.
