I am in the military and had an older version that got me through two deployments and 10 yrs of service. It was still going great for unfortunately the snap wore out and it fell out. The "new" model is just like my old one except it has scissors which is a great addition. I look forward to using this one the for the next 10 years and beyond! Why bother with a bunch of cheaper models when you can have this? The belt holster makes it convenient to carry - much better than having a bulky pocketknife in your pocket and access is quick and easy when you need it. High quality stainless steel matters and this tool does not disappoint!
Bottom Line: Skip the other stuff and just get this for the duration. The best multitool for most jobs.

Victorinox makes everything well. This is a great tool. The knives are very sharp and everything works very smoothly and easily. Locking feature works much better and with more ease than comperable Leatherman I have. have one of these myself and bought three others as gifts over the last 4 years or so. Everyone loves them and still uses them regularly.Customer Review: It's part of my wardrobe.

I can't imagine another multi-tool I'd rather have on my belt right now. This is my third because I lose them (or rather they don't get found when out of sight....) It's a pleasure to own and use. This is a great multi tool. It's heavy and sturdy. The tools lock out, and you have to slide the release tab to fold them back in. It's versatile, and has held up well during a year of regular use. It is also easily carried with the enclosed belt case, and is small enough to store easily in a car.
