Weighing only 10 ounces, this multi-tool measures a modest 4.5 inches when closed. i'm not an expert on multitools, but i do collect watches. i've owned many swiss watches. this SWISS army multitool is made like a swiss watch; very well. i use it on a daily basis at the hospitals i work at, especially turning on oxygen tanks. if you're in the medical field, you know there's a specific tool for this. but, in the va medical center i work at, the tool is plastic and worn. the pliers on the swiss tool are strong and handle this job better than the regular oxygen tank keys/tools, metal or plastic. i use this swiss tool on a daily basis for various things as well. i had a leatherman in the army and it never felt as solid as this swiss tool.Customer Review: steve's swiss tool review

I bought this knife about six years ago for around $50 at Lowe's and i mostly love it. It's very handy and tough. The only drawback, and not one I consider serious enough to take away a star, is how tight some of the tools are. When I thought I lost this knife about two years ago I bought a Swiss Tool Spirit model and the blades are much easier to open and close with that model but it is not as hefty or manly as the original. Not coincidentally, my wife prefers the Spirit. It is a beautiful knife but if you really want a tool with some heft and the ability to do some serious work get the Swiss Tool.Customer Review: Swiss Tool RS Beats My Leatherman and Gerber

The Victorinox Swiss Tool RS beats my Leatherman and my Gerber Tools first because all the tools are on the outside and you do not need to open the entire tool and search for the tool you want. The only reason for opening up the entire tool is to use the pliers. Second the pliers are able to handle large nuts and have a much more hefty feel about them. Thirdly, the scissors are much better and come out more easily. Lastly, all of the other tools are high quality. The only drawback might be the size of the Victorinox Swiss Tool RS. Swiss Army RS Swiss Ultimate Tool w/ Nylon Pouch
This all in one tool is great. I was worried as none of the pictures on the internet show the pliers, but yes it does have a nice set of pliers included. The feel is heavy and solid, all tools, except pliers lock into place and can be accessed without having to open up the tool. Great to leave in the car, on the boat, or on your belt. I like that this has a lifetime warranty and am pleased with my purchase.

If you want quality, a tank of a tool, and the best finish in the business, get a SwissTool. It is big and heavy, not for your pocket, but it does the job, and it'll last. It won't rust or break on you (so the people who have it for awhile say). Wonderful tool opening, without taking out all the rest and you can take them out without having to open up the pliers. The tools/blades lock very nice and it has great scissors, better than most. I would recommend this multi-tool to anybody.
