About Swiss Army Knives
In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The forerunner of that name dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor or versatility.

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend and he loved it! He keeps the large one in his glove box and the smaller one on his key chain. Both have about everything you could need. The Swiss Army Knife is the ultimate handy tool, which I carry in my car. The price is right for such quality. The pocket knife, which is free, is also great to have in my pocket. the pair is just great. One of em is big and not very appropirate for a keychain addition, but the other is just great for a keychain addition. The bigger one is good for camping, fishing and outdoor stuff...over all a great buy and a great holiday gift as well...Customer Review: They are so handy!

I ordered this for my husband. He has always wanted a swiss army knife, so I started looking for one. Man are they way cheaper here than in store. I found the same one in store and they wanted 50 just for the big one. Great deal as usuall from Amazon.
