These weights are just right. Great feel, great material. I've had great results and have used them for just about 2 months now, adding them to my routine about 4 times a week. They also came with a really nice instructional sheet (I didn't expect that) and it shows the proper movements for various exercises. These are very good handweights to add to your workout routines, I added the 5 lb ones after working out with the 2 Lb ones for awhile, still not strong enough to use the 5 Lbs all the time, but like 2 lbs the Neoprene cover is very comfortable to hold onto and prevents slipping when using these. Make sure to get the 2 lbs to begin with if you are not that strong right now.Customer Review: Very nice

I bought these and the 3 pound weights from the same company. They are very comfortable to hold. The weight is distributed managably, and they included a poster to show the many different exercises that can be done with the weights (rather than simply lifting them). I'm very impressed, and will likely buy a higher weight once I get to that level.Customer Review: very nice

These weights have a nice feel to them (more comfortable than vinyl, for the same price), but like the above reviewer said, they only work if you use them. 5-lb weights are very suitable for beginners to purchase. It may be heavy at first, but as you get stronger, 3-lbs will get too light. 5-lbs will also get the toning done, without bulking you up.Customer Review: Great Weights

I was looking for hand weights to use around the house for a variety of exercises. It was important to me that they were not too big as I have fairly small hands. These are perfect. I like the neoprene as it is really comfortable in my hand. I also think they are a great size overall - not too big.
