in looking for a mat to use during my p90x workouts, this was the best price for the thickness and length. for the ab workouts it's fantastic. you wont ever feel the ground. i wouldnt use this for yoga though because of it's thickness and it doesnt have that tacky feeling that you want when you're in certain positions. look for something else for your yoga
also there's a HUGE disclaimer that no one else seemed to mention: when wet it's slippery. the couple of times that i used this mat for yoga, i was sweating a bit to hold the plank positions my elbows were sliding. not cool...
i usually put a tshirt or towel under me durin the ab workouts and it's not a problem because well, thats what they're used for anyway lol i would definitely get this mat for ab workouts or when you're on the floor but just be careful with the slippery-when-sweaty and not ideal for yoga

I didn't expect the mat to be coming so soon, which is a major plus since I now could do my crunches on my floor on top of the mat. Since I'm considered a "bony" person, I couldn't do crunches on many surfaces(Tile, wood, carpet, etc) because it would hurt the tail of my spine. The padding on the mat is great and the cushion cushions he tail of my spine so I can do my crunches correctly and comfortably. It rolls up at the end but that's no problem, has straps so it can be packed up and moved easily making it quite convenient. The mat is quite huge and is perfect for any other type of exercises. People keep ranting on the smell but it only lasts for about a day or so until it goes away (well for mine it did). Overall 5/5 mat in my case.Customer Review: Great exercise mat

I had been looking online for a good quality exercise mat. I decided to buy the Valeo Foam mat and after about 1 month of using it, I can easily say- its a great quality product and I dont regret buying it.
It can be rolled up and carried around with the straps at the ends. One side of the mat is smooth and other one has grooves, so you can use the side you are most comfortable with.
There was no smell to the product when I opened it. It has a good thickness and good quality. Just clean it with wet washcloth after use and it looks just like new. I can easily recommend this product to anyone looking for an exercise mat.

This thing is crazy comfortable. I do my ab work-outs on it and all the pain I use to feel when on my sides is completely gone. It has a rubbery smell but....it's rubbery. It does go away after a day or two, so no big deal there. As for the people who said it curls up on you, yes it does, it does come rolled up after all. But all you do it unroll it, roll in the opposite direction, and it's fixed by the next day (Common logic, people. Come on.) So that shouldn't be a legit complaint from anyone. Really thick, feels great. For the price this thing is a steal. Stop thinking about it and just buy it, for Pete's sake.Customer Review: Exactly what I needed

Bought this for when I can't make it to the gym. After looking around at different mats and reading reviews like, "this one is too thin," and "this one is too short," I settled on this and it's perfect. People complain about the end curling up but it doesn't affect anything you do on the mat - either you are tall enough to have your head or feet weighing the curled part down so it's flat, or you are short enough that you don't even reach it. I'm 6'2" and this mat is actually long enough for me (something I couldn't even find at the gym). Definitely recommended.
