This is a quality pull-up (or if you're into less intensity workouts chin-up) bar. The main annoyance is adjusting the hand pads--it's doable but quite difficult--and you probably won't want the one on the non extendable side so close to the door side. Installation of the nubs to hold it in the doorway is not as bad.
Anyway once the prepretory work is done it's a quite good piece of equipment. I grab the pads for narrow stanced pull-ups, while I hold on to the bar outside the pads for the wide stance. The latter can be difficult to hold onto, but I'm definetly not going to shift the pads back and fourth just to do different kinds of pull-ups. I can now do as many as 17 pull-ups without stopping, five more than I could when I first bought the bar.

I got this with another item for super saving shipping. I did not attach it to a doorframe, instead I attached it to the doorway leading to the hall in the house. I did not use the wall mounts because I did not want to drill holes in ma doorway. What you do is you twist it so it extends, then when it touches both sides of the wall, you hold the extended end and twist the middle part. You need help from another person though, because it keeps moving everywhere when you twist. I can do chin-ups and pull-ups from it w/o the wallmounts, but I only weigh 100lbs. A downside is that it leaves black marks on your walls.Customer Review: Works great for me!

I received my order today and had it set up and tested in 15 minutes. (helps to have a screw gun). I weigh 205 and it has no problems supporting me.
I'm not sure what all the complaints about the grips are for. I was able to slide the grip over just fine by moving it back and forth. Didn't take more than a minute or so to get it where I needed it.
The only downside to this product for me...I realized how out of shape I really was when trying to do a few reps. :)
