I bought one of the original seen on tv Abslides a few years ago. That model is larger than the Valeo and has a spring system that tightens when you extend. It also has small wheels that get dust and carpeting caught in them.
The Valeo Dual Ab Wheel is easy to assemble and it is much simpler. It is also a lot smaller. It is sturdy and it works the core and the arms. Going to either side works the obliques as well. You can't beat the price and free shipping with amazon.

This wheel is the best thing ever, it's hard at first but you have to start slow and don't go all the way little by little is better. I bought two, for my brother and me he is really tall and husky he says(i think he's fat)but he loves this machine he doesn't want to lose weight he just wants to tone up and really it is working we can see a six pack starting to form on him. As for me i don't want that but i do want to tighten my abs and yes it works.Customer Review: It works but good form is a must

This Ab wheel does work, but I want to emphasize that you must use good form. I found it helpful to press my feet up against the wall to help steady myself as I pushed out with my arms. Don't try to go too far out when first beginning to use the Ab wheel. It does require some patience as you get your flow. What I like about this Ab wheel is you don't have put anything together - no handle coverings. My boyfriend loves it and he has a six pack.Customer Review: It's simple, it's great

I've had one like this for a few years now and think it's great. Many of you will find yourself using it in spurts like me.When you do, you'll be sore for a day or two and that's a great feeling.
Negatives are for those with poor balance. When you first start using this, it may seem awkward and you may loose your balance. After your stabilizing muscles develop, you'll be fine. Definitely worth the $10 price tag.

Always looking for good ways to get a strong core and have tried about everything at one time or another, including many of the really expensive ab machines. To me, this is as good as any of them. Lots of different exercises, which can be modified (in most cases) for varying levels. This is one of those inexpensive pieces of equipment that really packs a lot of punch. Several things you can do with it. I love it.
