Customer Review: Great product without flaws, but it is one difficult workout!

First, I read the review complaining about the grip and "difficult assembly" and have to say they are blatantly wrong.
The grip is perfect, unless you have massive or extremely petite hands, otherwise you are golden! It is plastic, however it is NOT slick, even when your hands perspire the grip remains non-slip.
Assembly has A BREEZE. Two wheels two grips and one sturdy metal rod/axel. Place the wheels on together and slide the grips on to cap both ends of the rod... that's it...
To keep this process simple and easy there are tiny holds on the ends of each grip which allows air to escape, so that they slide on with minimal force, i.e. if you have "trouble" putting this product together, you are not going to be able to perform the workout this item provides...
Seriously, I've had more difficulty opening 2 liter bottles of soda than were presented by assembly...
The workout provided by the wheel is ridiculous, but amazing. @ 220 and 12% body fat I thought I would do "OK" when starting out (as I have never worked out with this apparatus before), but I IMMEDIATELY felt the workout and was sore within 10-15 minutes.
The motion does take a little time to perfect, and it is in your best interest to read directions and take your time to get used to it and believe me you will NOT be able to just take it out of the box and do 20 reps anyway, this thing is a SERIOUS workout.
I considered myself to have a pretty darn strong core, but after my first time, I was shocked to FEEL how much work I had to do. This is clearly a device intended for those who are already at a tremendous level of fitness.
HOWEVER, if you are able to overcome the initial difficulties and embrace the challenge of this piece of equipment over time you will find no better way to strengthen your core, which is the best way to jump start a better overall fitness and more importantly feel better about yourself and all future workout endeavors.
Buy this item, keep your chin up and stick it out once you see how challenging it is and you will reap serious benefits.
Anyone who gave negative reviews were presumably unable to get over that hump and like most people blame everyone and everything but themselves.
As someone who is in the midst of a 100lbs + weight loss, I've learned that diet and exercise begins and ends with discipline, some people have it some people don't, if you know you have it, get this thing work your butt off and feel great as a result. If you are the type looking for an 'easy solution' or think this is just another in a long line of crappy fads, you'll be sorely disappointed.

Customer Review: STRONG STOMACH PROVIDES FOR A STRONG BACK

This may seem like a primitive way to get those abs stronger and looking good but I can attest to the Valeo Ab Wheel or just about any Ab Wheel for that matter. If the exercise is done correctly (proper way to do the exercise included with wheel) you'l have your abs looking good in no time. I'm getting ready to purchase another wheel as one of my dogs chewed my other one up so need to replace it. But I have to say it is a great tool if you want great looking abs.
I'm nearly 60 years old and still exercise every day, walk at least 2-miles a day, I also use a rowing maching as well as a Ab Glider. I've been married for 38 years so I want to keep myself looking good for my waife as well as for my own piece of mind. Of coruse I also eat right, no junk foods, McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza, nothing, no potatoes, very little bread but I eat a lot of Salmon, Tuna, Chicken, Vegetables, Fruit and Egg Whites (hard boiled throw away the yokes). So I eat a lot of protein and very little carbs & sugars.
Keep in mind that Diet is very important here and believe it or not Diet can help you decrease High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure, High Sugar Levels and even fight Cancer and increase your Immune System. Believe it or not the cure for all of these are in the Grocery Store and not a Pharmacy. Do some research and you will find that the Physican is not always correct and some things are correctable just by eating right and exercise.
Hope this helps anyone looking to get off the couch and get in shape.

It's recently been bumped up a dollar or two in price but is still a decent value, as Amazon consumers have attested by making the Valeo wheel the #1 seller in the category of sports equipment. Obviously the word is out about the superior quality of this particular wheel, since Amazon carries many other, comparably priced ab rollers made by various manufacturers. The device is not as heavy and rugged as it may appear in the photos, and it requires 5-10 minutes assembly time. But it's sufficiently durable and free-rolling to be effective at its main task of "torso toning." I doubt that it's any more effective than properly performed push-ups, but it's a welcome variation on that tedious routine. Use the Valeo wheel at home or in a dorm room or just about any place where it's impractical to keep weights or a Bowflex machine. And be realistic in your expectations, regarding it more as a complement to, or variation on, rather than a replacement for the push-up. (Save the push-ups for the times when your traveling and living out of a suitcase or flight bag.)
The instructions for assembly and use could be clearer, larger in font size, and more thorough about technique and exercise time, but I doubt any of that will matter once the device is ready to roll. Like many exercise gadgets, it's likely eventually to make its way to the attic or the most remote corner of a closet, but the cost of the item still makes it easy to claim that it's paid for itself.

For a cheap price as the Valeo Dual Ab Wheel's, you may think that it might not be a great workout tool (I know I had doubts), but it has become a beloved workout tool for me. The product comes in a small box with instructions, two wheels, a bar, and the two end-pieces for the bar. You have to assemble the product, but that is very easy to do. Once you first try it, believe me you will likely have a bumpy start - I know I did - but you will eventually get used to it to the point where you can rely on the wheel to move you back and forth without fearing you're going to fall face-first into the ground. I know I had to end up trusting it to do what it's supposed to do - plus, my body (especially my arms) adjusted to using the wheel to guide my upper body in the motions suggested. So, if you're using the wheel for the very first time and want to send it back or throw it in a nearby corner, don't! I know I sensed failure after my first tries with the wheel, but I kept using it. So, if you too sensed using it was a failure in your first few tries, keep at it, you will get used to it, and want to use it over and over. Also, as someone who was worried that this little ol' ab wheel wouldn't support me (the bar and the plastic wheels can bring about doubts), the product is sturdy and can hold its own. Plus, at a price of $10, the Valeo Dual Ab Wheel is a nice item to have for exercise routines for those who can't afford other exercise items above $50.Customer Review: Works great IF YOU USE IT CORRECTLY

At first I thought "How can this work.. you just zip back and forth with ease???" Well, therein lies the problem.. if you are just zipping back and forth on it, you are not using it right and you will not have the results that it can actually give.
My hubby is 6'4 and in great shape, exercises regularly, lifts weights, etc. He benches 200 & 300 lbs. He did not expect this little wheel to be so much work for him. He is by no means a weakling, but this Ab Wheel definitely takes some strength to use properly. He loves it though. He can "feel the burn" after just a few tries and keeps using it daily getting a few more in, each day.
When he showed me how to use it, I was like this is cake, I'm just rolling back and forth and it took no strength and I felt no difficulty. I WASN'T USING THE PROPER FORM AND MUSCLES! Once he got me to do it right, boy was there a major difference! I can see and feel how this thing works, when used properly. Doing it right is essential. If you are just rolling back and forth, then you are not doing it right and you will not see any results.
It seems sturdy enough and the grips are pretty comfortable.
This little device is definitely worth trying, but remember to make sure you are doing it the right way.
