Customer Review: Looking For A Cheap Home Exercise Tool? Your Weight Is Over
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

If you're looking around for some wrist/ankle weights, these are a good choice. Here's what I like the most about them:

-they're adjustable. This is clearly their best feature and saves you having to buy multiple weights of different increments. No need to buy a 1lb weight, then a 2lb weight, and then a 3 as you get stronger on an exercise- with these, you just take out or add what weight you need

-the price is comparable to other cuff weights and a cheap means overall of doing exercises where you need added weight

-they're portable enough that one could throw them in the car when traveling

For me, this is the way to go if you're looking for some cuff weights to go along with your home exercises. A word of caution- while it says "10 lb adjustable weights", that doesn't mean each cuff is 10 lbs- rather each cuff is a made up of five, 1lb cylinders for a total weight of 5 lbs for EACH cuff.

Good for general fitness or home physical therapy exercises, they're a great little product. Also recommend Treat Your Own Tennis Elbow for those looking for a good resource on tennis elbow.

Customer Review: Valeo AW10 Ankle/Wrist Weights
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I'm male, 5ft-5in (165cm), 130lbs (60kg). I use these Valeo AW10 weight as ankle weights. I also have similarly designed weights which use cast iron inserts, but for use as ankle weights I prefer these Valeo weights, as the softer inserts are much more comfortable.

When tightened snugly against bare flesh, the 10-lb cast iron ankle weights dig painfully into the top of my foot, and the bones of my ankle. I also wear these Valeo weights "upside-down" so the thick bottom seam doesn't dig into my foot. (Don't worry... the inserts aren't going to "slip out".)

The Valeo AW10 weights fit me snugly enough, but I have them about as tight as they CAN be closed, and the smaller diameter of my ankles is probably similar to an average-sized female, so smaller women may have trouble with them slipping. I don't think anyone smaller than a large male could possibly use these as wrist weights.

Overall, I have been satisfied with the design and construction of these Valeo AW10 Ankle/Wrist weights.

Customer Review: a very good product at a reasonable price
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Adjustable weight was the main reason I was attracted to this product, and imo it actually designed and built very well. In the past there were many complaints about difficulties with replacing individual weights after they were removed. Not any longer. It's very easy in the current model. Apparently the company paid attention to the buyers' complaints and corrected the problem.

I imagine this is not the most comfortable weights one can find, but they are not uncomfortable, and the price is very reasonable for what you get.

I saw some users finding them not to their satisfaction when used on wrists. I use then exclusively as ankle weights, but I tried them on the wrists, and had no problem using them as wrist weights at all. In fact they fit better and feel more comfortable on the wrists than on ankles.

Overall, a very good product at a reasonable price.

Customer Review: Great product great price
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing these weights. I was still a little concerned about the fit (some reviews say these are much too large) but I am very happy with the fit, material, and ease of use. I am 5' 4" 134lb adult female, and these fit my ankles very well ( I do think they'd be too big for my wrists, but I wanted ankle weights). The velcro is very sturdy, the material is very durable, and these don't slide around as I exercise nor do they rub against my skin. There are 5 separate 1lb weights (bags of sand I think) and it's great that I can change the weight in 1lb increments as I choose, they are easy to get in and out, and no chance of them falling out while exercising, there's a flap that velcro's them in. Great buy and always easy to order products through Amazon.

Valeo AW10 10-Pound Adjustable Ankle / Wrist Weights

Hey - they're only leg weights!

Great price with Prime shipping (available when I ordered mine) and they are relatively comfortable for the short time you will wear them.

You can wash them by taking weights out if they get smelly or dirty.

I was warned to avoid walking or running with leg or arm weights because of the added rotational momentum they will place on joints and ligaments. I see people doing this, presumably because they believe that it helps them lose weight or gain strength, which is apparently a poor choice.
