The Solara DSC VHF marine radio by Uniden is compact, sleek and submersible. It features a new design using the latest in die-cast construction and water-proofing. It has full DSC capability including distress and individual calling, as well as position reply, scan, instant weather access with weather alert. The submersible radio meets JIS7 standards of 1 meter for 30 minutes. The Solara DSC covers all USA, International and Canadian marine channels keeping you up-to-date with all the latest marine activity. Other features include: unique rubber grip microphone, large backlit display for enhanced night vision and 3-year water protection warranty.The Uniden SOLARADSC 25 Watt Full-Featured VHF Marine Radio has been designed to give you a rugged, reliable instrument that will provide you with years of trouble-free service. With proper care and maintenance, your marine radio could outlast your present vessel. The full features and flexibility designed into this quality transceiver will prevent it from becoming obsolete regardless of changes in craft or geographic locations.
The technical excellence of this marine radio is demonstrated by the multiplicity of uses the U.S. Federal Communications Commission has approved it for. The Uniden SOLARADSC 25 Watt Full-Featured VHF Marine Radio can receive all US and International marine channels with 16 instant channels and 10 weather channels. The LCD screen makes the SOLARADSC easy to read, and the front-mounted speaker offers vastly improved sound quality. The SOLARADSC is acceptable for compulsory use on recreational boats, vessels subject to the Great Lakes Radio Agreement or bridge-to-bridge requirements, general pleasure and commercial vessels, and certain land stations in marine service.
