Every dedicated cyclist needs a good portable pump for his or her training rides. However, many on-the-go pumps are somewhat clunky and not all that easy to use. Enter the Topeak Road Morph G, which packs floor pump efficiency and ease of use into a compact, portable design you can bring along for the ride. The Road Morph G boasts a clever foldout footpad that stabilizes the pump against the ground rather than your hand, creating a comfortable, efficient pumping motion. Plus, the pump's flexible air hose makes it easy to work with awkward or tight valve placements while also helping prevent valve stem damage. Other features include an extra-long barrel, an inline gauge, a secure mounting bracket, a Presta/Schrader head, and a plastic thumb lock. The Road Morph G measures 2.2 by 13.8 by 1.1 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 0.49 pounds.

Sports reviews of Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge

Customer Review: Small but powerful
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I did a lot of comparison shopping before purchasing this pump. I have not been disappointed.

Pros:

* Inflates to 90 psi or higher with surprising ease. You don't have to pump real hard as with other pumps I've used.
* Takes fewer strokes than I could imagine. This thing is efficient!!
* Mounting is secure. All mounting parts included.
* Works right out of the box for presta valves.
* Well designed and engineered.
* Lightweight.

Cons:

* The pressure gauge is virtually unreadable.
* It is so lightweight, I don't expect it will withstand a lot of abuse.

Customer Review: Easy and versatile

When you first get this it is set up for Presta valve. Unscrew the black ring and pull out the two plastic pieces inside, turn each around and put back in. Screw the black ring back on and now it is set for Schrader.
On my first outing with it, a friend with a Presta valve tire got a flat. I easily converted it for his use and he was very happy about how easy it was to pump by using it like a floor pump. Also impressed that it had a gauge. He ordered one.
Seems rugged enough to last a while for emergency use. I don't think you would want to use this in your garage on a regular basis in lieu of a real floor pump.

Customer Review: Excellent pump. Only one I need!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I have been cycling for about five months now and this is the pump for me. I realize I haven't tried that many different pumps, but I am incredibly happy with this pump. I am on a very strict budget (terrible for a cyclist), and as a result, this is the only pump I have. I don't have a floor pump for a presta valve, this pump does it every time, and i have yet to complain. The price is very competitive, it looks good, the quality of construction leaves nothing for want. the only problem is that there is no manual. i had to google the pump once i got it to figure out how to use it on my friend's schrader valve tube. still a great buy

Customer Review: My 2 cents

I'll keep it short so that I don't repeat much that has already been said.

If you want a frame-mounted pump, I don't think it gets much better than this. The inline gauge works pretty well, and I can get it over 110 psi with a little sweat after it gets past 90.

Came with screws (if replacing a water bottle holder) as well as straps to mount to the top tube instead, in addition to the velcro straps and plastic clips on the mount itself.

Instructions were admittedly sparse, but I trust that most people will either figure it out, or use one of the above reviews for guidance where necessary.

Customer Review: Glorious!

I started off by buying a "recommended pump" at the bike store, and it ended up being a mtb pump. So, I returned it, and got the Crank Brothers mini pump, and it took about 10 minutes and a LOT of effort to get it just barely to 80psi. Let me tell you, I was not impressed- luckily I did that test at home, and didn't have to find out on the road. After that, I decided I would just go with the Topeak Road Morph, and buy online. Once I got it and tried it out, I was impressed! I got to 120 PSI within minutes. It is still a mini pump, and takes some effort, but it's relatively easy! I would recommend this pump to ANYONE!
