Every dedicated cyclist needs a good portable pump for his or her training rides. However, many on-the-go pumps are somewhat clunky and not all that easy to use. Enter the Topeak Road Morph G, which packs floor pump efficiency and ease of use into a compact, portable design you can bring along for the ride. The Road Morph G boasts a clever foldout footpad that stabilizes the pump against the ground rather than your hand, creating a comfortable, efficient pumping motion. Plus, the pump's flexible air hose makes it easy to work with awkward or tight valve placements while also helping prevent valve stem damage. Other features include an extra-long barrel, an inline gauge, a secure mounting bracket, a Presta/Schrader head, and a plastic thumb lock. The Road Morph G measures 2.2 by 13.8 by 1.1 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 0.49 pounds.

Sports reviews of Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge

Customer Review: Possibly the best portable mountain/road pump
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I had the old version for a few years and I needed another one for another bike so I picked up this improved version. Contrary to what some people say the fold-out foot plate is very helpful (unless you wear some fancy road shoes in which case anything but pedaling is impossible - I wear walkable STBs), it turns it into a miniature floor pump and it allows you to pump up 120psi easily using your body weight to press down, which is remarkable considering the size if this pump. The fact that it uses a tube to connect to your valve is also great as it lowers the chances of breaking it as you're pumping hard. The gauge is very helpful and accurate. The mount is neat, it allows you to mount it in the top bar that is not straight, as it's the case with most composite frames. Overall, I think this is the best pump for road and mountain biking. I see it's very popular amount club riders everywhere.

Customer Review: So handy I bought another
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I bought this one after reading many reviews, and I am not disappointed. It works as it should. Came just in time too, as my tires were a tad too low, and I didn't even notice it. The handle is maybe 1/2" too short for most hands like mine, but it works well. I like that it won't crush your fingers when you get to the bottom of the stroke, if your careful. I checked the in-line gauge to an Accu-gauge I have, and it is quite close. I like it so much that I bought another for my new road bike. My only concern when I get it is the mounting. I have no way to screw it on the frame of the new bike, and the bracket supplied has a curve that matches most round frames, and the new one has a wider oval shape. Soooo.... I may have to file down the round bits on the bracket to fit the frame better. I don't remember any other bracket in the box, so I hope this will work. I'll know more when it arrives.

Customer Review: Best frame pump I've used
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I've been riding seriously for over 20 years, have owned a half dozen frame pumps, and the Morph for about 5 years. This is the only frame pump I recommend to anyone. If you actually have to fix a flat, it takes the ugliness out of the event. Doesn't require arm strength, since it depends on your weight instead. Doesn't break off valve stems, since it puts no side pressure on the valve. Doesn't require 200 pumps (like one of the mini pumps I had) to fill a tire. The only issue I have ever had is that the guage is not accurate. Mine measures about 10 psi high when it reachs the 100 psi point. Not a big deal if you know that. Its nice that it has a guage at all. I haven't had any problems with the parts falling off, but I think I will take a close look at mine to head those potential problems off. Like I said, the only pump I have ever recommended to anyone since I got mine.

Customer Review: Just what I needed

Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge

When it came time to replace my tried and true 30-year old Zefal pump (going from road bike to road and mountain bike), I decided to look into mini-pumps but discovered that it's hard to get a good forceful amount of air from a lot of them. A friend suggested the Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge for the quality, air capacity, gauge and fold-down foot rest. I really like the flexible hose (the Zefal had a valve at the end of the cylinder) and the pump works well. I had a little difficulty with changing the valves but another reviewer here clearly spelled out how to do it. The zip tie mounting is a little cheesy, but I'm not going to ding them for it. I recommend this pump.

Customer Review: I would have no other pump on my bike!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I have had this pump for a few months now and have had several flats so I have a lot of experience with using this gem. I love knowing how much pressure is in the tube when I am doing a roadside change. Also, this little pump is easy to put on the valve and the small hose relieves the pressure that other hand pumps create on the valve stem.

This pump is amazing. It takes no time to get my pressure to 120 psi. The gauge is great and works well. The pump in general is built very well and is solid. I started using it at home to inflate tires just to get familiar with it. It fits snugly on my bike frame and doesn't rattle, etc. I have owned several small pumps and this is by far the best and most practical!

I seriously can't recommend it enough!
