Every dedicated cyclist needs a good portable pump for his or her training rides. However, many on-the-go pumps are somewhat clunky and not all that easy to use. Enter the Topeak Road Morph G, which packs floor pump efficiency and ease of use into a compact, portable design you can bring along for the ride. The Road Morph G boasts a clever foldout footpad that stabilizes the pump against the ground rather than your hand, creating a comfortable, efficient pumping motion. Plus, the pump's flexible air hose makes it easy to work with awkward or tight valve placements while also helping prevent valve stem damage. Other features include an extra-long barrel, an inline gauge, a secure mounting bracket, a Presta/Schrader head, and a plastic thumb lock. The Road Morph G measures 2.2 by 13.8 by 1.1 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 0.49 pounds.

Sports reviews of Topeak Road Morph G Bike Pump with Gauge

Customer Review: Tire pressure gauge that comes with a pump.
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Normally a product with over 100 reviews doesn't need *another one*, but in scanning some of the more recent entries I felt the need to weigh in with some counter-examples and dispel some fictions.

1) This is a small pump. It is meant to be taken on the ride, and used in an emergency. This is not your primary pump, which presumably would be a large floor model. As such, do not expect to get to 120psi without a serious commitment.

2) The bracket screws right into the water bottle mounting points of most frames, so use that. The hook&loop strap has *more* than enough surface contact to secure this on a 30 mile ride, not to mention the fact that it snaps into its bracket as well.

3) Figuring out the Presta/ Schraeder connection should take you five minutes even if you exhaust every permutation possible.

4) Figuring out how to secure this to a valve should take one minute, even if you get it wrong the first two times. If you have the flu, one of your eyes has conjunctivitis, and it's raining on your position, it'll still only take you ten minutes total time to remove it from packaging, configure it, and begin inflating a tube.

The little kickstand is a hoot, basically designed to keep the pump from shifting around, but the real ingenuity comes from the tube sliding into the fill mechanism. Great use of space and economy. The gauge is a little rough in accuracy, as it uses basic thresholds of atmospheres to determine your current psi, but you only need to be +/- 5 psi really in everything but a money race. Obviously you have access to better tech if you need exact pressure.

A terrific road tool, 100% recommended, 650 road miles can't be wrong.

Customer Review: Great Bicycle Pump.....Very Impressed!!!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

This was recommended to me by a friend. At first I was skeptical about the design. It looked too large and clunky. After using this pump, I've definitely changed my mind.

Having always used the plastic Silica frame pump w/ a Campy head on my road bikes, this pump is like having a "floor" pump on your frame. Now I'm not weak and can easily pump up my tires to 100+ psi (well, maybe not that easily) but, I've always had to work at it (and would unleash a few choice #%@!#$ while pumping). This pump is almost as easy as a floor pump (hey, I sometimes use it instead of my floor pump). The in-line gauge is very handy and pretty accurate. I can easily get my bikes up to 115 psi (really). I'm find the little foot pedal useful and use it all the time (especially for that last 20+ pounds of air). The flex hose attachment does add weight & bulk to the pump, but if I'm worried about weight, I would rather lose a few pounds off my "old bod" before getting rid of that pratical hose. It makes pumping much easier since you won't have to grasp the rim, stem and pump head with a death grip to prevent the stem from bending (anyone who's had to use a frame pump knows what I mean). The pump seems well made, but I'm not sure how it would hold up if used on a daily basis (it is for emergencies while riding after all).

I'm not sure why people seem to need directions to use this (we're not building pianos here) or complain that it's hard to use. If there's an easier frame pump for bicycles, someone post it. I might consider the smaller "Mini Morph" Pump just for something smaller but I think I'd miss the in-line gauge too much. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Customer Review: Great Pump, HIGHLY recommended, although the little fold out foot pedal is utterly useless
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I own a Specialized Allez full-Ultegra road bike and a Trek 6000 full-Deore Mountain bike and i use this for both.

Pumping up my road tires (130 psi) was surprisingly easy compared to other pumps (and I've had many), but it is still 130 psi and you will have to put some body weight into it. I tried using the fold out foot pedal, but it rotates 180 degrees and is therefore pretty useless when your exerting so much pressure on the pump. But i found that kneeling down, holding the pump upright against the floor and just pumping downwards worked remarkably well. There really is no need for the foot pedal. The hose that attaches to your tire valve is extendable, so you have plenty of room to work. Pumping up my MTB tires was cake. The gauge is absolutely essential, once you have it you wonder how you lived without it.

The bracket mounts very easily onto the bike and the pump clips into place on the bracket and there is an extra strap around the pump for added security. If you have multiple bikes I highly recommend getting a few more brackets and just switching the pump around between bikes.

This is probably the best frame pump on the market, considering its small, has a gauge, works for both schraeder and presta, and has an extendable hose. The price is also awesome. It works really well and i HIGHLY recommend it.

Customer Review: The very best pump I've ever seen
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

This Pump is simply head and shoulders above every other bike mounted pump I've ever seen or used.

It has 3 main advantages over other manufacturers.

1. It far excedes my tires requirements for pressure, this means that it max. pressures my tires with out getting any where near it's own maximum capacity; therefore it never actually gets hard to pump to achieve the result I need.

2. I've actually torn a stem on a tire and with this pump having an actual hose to releave the stem from sideways pressure, I can pump away with abondone and never worry about damaging the valve stem again.

3. This pump actually has an air guage built right into the pump so that I always know exactly where I am in the process of reaching Max. pressure for my tires limits and never over or underfill my tubes, It' just flat out awesome.

This is a true happines that money can actually buy.
Definitely get this product!

Customer Review: Amazing and Durable
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I purchased this pump a little over a year ago. Since then I have used it on AT LEAST one tire a day. Many times I would go through my entire fleet and air all the tires up within the same hour. The pump gets warm, but not hot like some pumps do. This pump has held up great. My last mini pump had issues getting over 90 pounds into a tire and the foot rest broke off the first time I used it. This pump will put well over 90 pounds in and the foot rest is still as good as new. Very durable pump.

It works flawlessly on both types of valves. Takes less than 20 seconds to change to the opposite style of valve. It fits both valves snugly and securely. I keep this pump attached to my commuter at all times and it has never bounced out of its bracket. It's light weight, so I don't even notice it being there.

The only negative I have is that on rare occasions the pressure gauge will stick until you put another 5 pounds or so in. This is a minor inconvenience at most, so it doesn't affect my 5 star rating.

Over all, this is an amazing pump. So amazing that I ordered 2 more today. You can't go wrong with this pump.
