Sports reviews of Topeak JoeBlow Max II Floor Bike Pump

Customer Review: Multi Use Pump
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

This is the second Topeak pump (portable pump for bike) that I have purchased and both have fit expectations. The floor pump was longer than expected but was manageable. I have used the pump for various inflations (bike, farm trailer, tiller) and it has work very well. I have check the mounted guage against a digital guage and it is fairly accurate within usually 3 pounds. The locking knob works well and releases without lost of much air. The only improvement would be a better base since the plastic feels a little thin. Price was a positive factor and I would purchase it again.

Customer Review: Almost as good as my Schwinn from 1974!
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

My 1974 Schwinn air pump had a reservoir which was nice to hold pressure when you remove the pump from the tire valve. Other than that, this pump has it all. It's air volume is very good. About three pumps to fill a brand new 27x1-1/4.

Another unexpected but VERY HANDY feature. This is the first tire pump I've ever had with a long enough hose. It even wraps over the top handle to secure on both sides. Nice.

Amazingly, it even seems to have an accurate gauge. Probably a lucky sample, though. Get a Syracuse gauge to be sure.

Customer Review: easy to use.
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

I bought this pump at a LBS, and then I read the reviews here, and got worried.

This pump is a decent pump for the money.. I dont know what you guys are talking about how you cant get over 90 psi, it took me like 10 pumps, and it was at 110 psi. It was fine.

The air gauge is about 5-7 psi off, I did check with a calibrated air pressure gauge.

Constructed well, and its stable, it can stand up on its own. I like the 180 degree swivel of the air hose, you arent constantly fighting it.

Customer Review: Good Value Floor Pump
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

Got a great price and fast delivery from Amazon. The item arrived with a broken top tube cap which I discovered when I inflated my first tire. Instead of returning it, I called the manufacture's Customer Service to ask their advice. A very helpful person asked me to take a picture of the broken part and email it to them along with my local address. I had the new part within a week and it has worked flawlessly ever since. There was no charge for the new part and I did not have to send the old part back.

Customer Review: Good value for money - but not as good as Sport
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

The Max II delivers a good value for it's money, it feels solid and has the ability to pump a considerable pressure with ease. Important for my choice for this product was the feature that you do not have switch heads or anything for different types of tyres (presta/schrader/dunlop) .The pressure gauge can be clearly read and the hose feels sturdy. For my purposes (MTB / Road bike and everyday-use-bike) a very good choice for the money, mostly because you don't have to switch heads.
