I purchased this multitool in order to have a more complete selection of tools for emergency use. The fact that it includes tire irons, an emergency pedal wrench, a chain tool, storage for extra chain links, and a lockback knife were all deciding factors for me. Removing some of these other items from my seatbag is nice. The tools seem to be of great quality, and it has saved me a couple of times already during long rides and races. The weight is a bit heavier than many multitools, but then again, more tools are included.Customer Review: A Must Have

This is a great tool for any bicyclist. I mainly do mountain biking and the Topeak Alien II is the perfect tool to use on and off the trail. I always keep mine in my backpack along with a spare tube and small pump. Its is very compact yet very strong. Its great for tuning spokes and tightening screws and bolts. So far every tool I needed has been on this Multi-tool. Very happy with this purchase and glad I bought this instead of the Park Tools.Customer Review: Best tool ever!

I like this product because I needed a tool to help me maintain different parts of my bicycle. Before this tool, I had to fumble around looking for the correct tool, which made bicycle repair/maintenance tasks frustrating. I would get annoyed if I didn't have the right tool on hand, which sometimes would make a fairly easy task onerous. With this product, repair/maintenance tasks on my bicycle are a snap. Wow. Great all-in-one tool with carrying case. Well thought-out design. Only thing missing was a mini flashlite. The tool itself can be manually adjusted so that accessingeach tool can be done with ease. The chain tool is pretty handy however, the chain pins themselves are an option and can be picked up at a bike shop. Mine has come in very handy in the 3 weeks I have owned it--having the right tools encourages you to do more of the work yourself, and less reliant on the local shop where one may have to wait a week or more. Even if you're all "thumbs". this and a well illustrated repair/maintenance manual will keep your bike running in top condition and add another element of involvement to your cycling.
