The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet)--suitable for swimming but not for diving. All Timex heart rate monitor sensors have batteries that can be replaced by consumers without requiring them to be returned to the manufacturer.

My personal trainer told me to buy a heart monitor, but the one he suguested was really expensive, so I shopped around and found this Timex product. I like the fact that you can replace the batteries and of course the price. Start up was easy, however it takes a little time to learn all the mutli-function buttons. The chest band is comfortable and I have no problems with monitor picking up my heart rate. It has been a great purchase so far.Customer Review: The First Easy To Use Heart Monitor I Found.

I bought two polar rate heart monitors, and each one cost more than the Timex, and I never saw my heart rate or figured out how to make either one work. Yes I tried customer support, and it's a joke. Leave it to Timex to produce a completely intuitive product. You put the strap around your chest, and you see your heart rate. Do a few simple tests, and you have your 5 zones for light to heavy exercise. It works and it is easy to work.Customer Review: A very worthwhile training tool

I chose this monitor because of the user-replaceable batteries and the positive reviews here at Amazon, and I wasn't disappointed. I use it for cycling and have found it very useful to prevent excessive training in the anaerobic zone, something I didn't realize I was doing before I had the monitor. By not over-doing it and pacing myself more appropriately, I actually enjoy the challenge of climbing hills now, rather than dreading it.Customer Review: Very Very good product

I did lot of research before purchasing this product. And i was not disappointed. This is a very good product. I am using this watch as regular watch and put on the chest strap while exercising. This is a exceptional product. I tried the strapless product in walmart and it really scared me. I would suggest this product to anybody who is looking for heartrate monitor.

Good price and you just can't beat a good 'ol Timex. Seems I've been using Timex products most of my adult life. This one certainly does what it's advertised to do. I looked at several brands and versions of the sports/fitness pulse monitors and decided on this one based on price and features. Recommended...
Only detractor, the chest monitor strap could be a bit longer. I have a 46 inch chest and it's a bit snug...
