Sports reviews of Timex T5J031 Unisex Digital Fitness Heart Rate Monitor WatchCustomer Review: Simple and effective Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I wanted a simple HRM to use during my sessions at the gym. I did not need it to have GPS capability or any fancy features. Well, this Timex does that. I love it. It's a basic HRM that does what it needs to do without much complication. I love the fact that I can change the battery myself (a big concern after seen my friends struggle with other brands and their lame customer service), and that it's waterproof so it can go in the pool.
I say if you're looking for something easy to keep track of how many calories you're actually burning, this watch will be very helpful.
Customer Review: Great features for the price Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I looked at several models from Timex and Polar, and this looked like the best value. Now that I've used it several times, I can say I'm very happy I went with this model. It has more features than a Polar around the same price, and the battery issue with Polars definitely turned me off. But this model stands on its own merit. It has all the features you'd want in a sports watch, plus the heart rate functions, without being big and clunky. My only wish so far would be data on time in each HR zone (you have to select one). But I think it's a great monitor!
Customer Review: Great watch, works great, and low price! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This is a great watch that comes complete with the chest strap (heart rate monitor) that is comfortable while exercising. I am a 250lb male and the chest strap is a little tight on me but it still fits comfortably. I highly recommend the watch, and I even get compliments on it. The heart rate monitor gives accurate readings and turns off as soon as I wipe the sensors off. I know some people have had problems with it staying connected to the phone and draining the battery but I have not experienced any problems with it.
Enjoy your purchase!
Customer Review: I love this heart rate monitor! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This HRM has changed the way I work out. I'm 48 with hypertension and high colesterol, and I run and mountain bike. I now try to keep my heart rate in zone 4 (or above) for my entire run or ride and worry about heart rate and time instead of distance and speed. I love that there is a summary feature which includes max and min heart rates, time in zone, and then calories burned. This is a great product, especially for the price. I just want the ticker to keep running and stay healthy and this HRM is a great tool to see how it's doing.
Customer Review: Great monitor - especially for a newbie Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I purchased this heart monitor after borrowing a similar, but more expensive Reebok monitor from a family member. I found that this monitor was extremely easy to use and picks up my heart very quickly (better than the borrowed one I tried). The watch is nice and is easy to read even while jogging, biking, etc. This is my first heart rate monitor and I haven't learned how to use all the features yet, but if you are looking to simply monitor your heart rate and track it while you work out, I think this is a great option.
