Sports reviews of Timex T5J031 Unisex Digital Fitness Heart Rate Monitor WatchCustomer Review: Great Running Assistant Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Pros:
It does everything I think that it should do. and it looks like a normal enough watch that you could use it anytime you wanted a less formal watch.
Cons:
I like to see where I am in the zone sometimes as well as my time, and sometimes I want to see my heart rate and my time, but you have to press the button like 5 times to switch between them. this is kind of annoying, but they clearly can't fit all that information on the screen without making it huge and I like that you can see any combination of 2 pieces of information.
I think that it is great, but I have never used a HRM before, and have nothing to compare it too, but I would recommend it to anyone who was looking to get one.
Customer Review: Great product Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I had purchased a strapless heart monitor just a week or so before I bought this one. It was almost useless in monitoring my heart rate, however, since it seemed to rarely give readings when asked. So I decided to upgrade to this Timex. I am so glad I did. Since my first monitor was not that helpful, I was immediately happy with this new one. I can enter specific information about my body (weight, age, resting heart rate, maximum heart rate) easily, and because it has that information, it can come up with accurate readings of how many calories I burn. Plus, it seems to stand up well to daily use. I recommend this product to anyone who is serious about exercising and monitoring their heart rate.
Customer Review: Just love it, great for goal-oriented programs Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Large display for the most vital data, additional data in smaller but readable fields. The back-lighting in the Timex watches is superb. Programmable heart rate ranges and on/off audible alarm for when you fall outside of the current range. Calorie estimation based on weight and heart rate over time. Comfortable band, my one complaint is that it's a little on the small side. Button navigation is adequate, modes include time, chronograph, heart rate setup (zones), and workout review and recovery tracking. This is my third heart rate monitor (first being LifeCycle's built-in tracking -- ok but bare bones, second being a Sunuto watch -- expensive and not reliable) and the Timex is leaps ahead.
Customer Review: Terrific Product Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I knew nothing about heart rate monitor watches before I bought the Timex T5J031. I did a little research and was amazed at how many were on the market. After reading some of the reviews for this watch I bought it. I am very happy I did.
I am not a technical wizard, but I had no problems figuring out all of the features on this watch the day it arrived. It certainly has everything I need. I walk every day and the HRM has been great for helping me to guage my pace and distance. I have used it evry day for over a month and the original batteries are still going strong.
If all you want is a solid and easy to use HRM, then this is the watch for you!
Customer Review: Great HRM watch for a great price! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
There was a reviewer that mentioned that his unit ate through batteries, lasting only a week. Well, I've had it for over a month now using it almost everyday and the batteries are still going strong. Either he got a faulty unit or he doesn't know what he's taking about.
The watch is extremely easy to use and the strap is very comfortable. The display gives you plenty of options to see your heart rate with the time, or chronometer, or... many more options.
Comes also with some nice instruction booklets.
It's also a good looking watch and Timex makes them great. Been using Timex for about two decades.
Highly Recommended!
