Sports reviews of Timex T5G941 Heart Rate Monitor WatchCustomer Review: Better than More Expensive Polar Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Just used for first time today. Looks like a winner. Easy to set (without reading manual - I am a guy and we typically do not read manuals). The device picked up my heart rate much earlier than the Polar 6 ($100) that it replaced. Also, the watch strap is much more comfortable. I did not use any of the advanced features of the more expensive POlar. Also, easier battery replacement is a plus. Will provide any negative feedback if malfunctions occur in the coming months. Customer Review: Timex Heart Rate Watch--works well Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This watch is basic, but completes its function accurately and easily. This great for doing high intensity interval training to see that my heart rate is in the right range and avoid slacking off unintentionally. The replaceable battery feature is nice, and I am happy I chose this item.
I did find that it helps to place a small square of moistened paper towel under each of the two sensors on the chest strap to transmit the signals before I start to sweat.
Customer Review: Inexpensive and easy to use Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Great tool to help me reach my target heart rate and maximize my cardio workouts. I recently started back on a workout routine and needed an inexpensive and easy to use heart rate monitor watch that would allow me to monitor my heart rate, handsfree, during my cardio work out at the gym. This watch has the basic funtionality that I need plus work out equipment at the gym picks up the signal and displays on the screen so I don't have to keep looking at my wrist.
Customer Review: Works great Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
While I have only used this item for two weeks, it has worked perfectly so far for me. I don't even find it necessary to wet the back of the chest strap as the directions indicate, it works great for me as soon as I put it on. I average running 4 - 5 miles per day, about 5 day a week. I have read that the battery life isn't great, but the batteries it uses are about $4 for a pkg of two so even if they don't last that long it isn't a big deal.
Customer Review: Spot on Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This heart monitor does what it's supposed to do and more. It keeps up with the heart rate changes well, and the chest and wrist bands are comfortable. The minimal controls are intuitive and work well. I was surprised to find that it automatically timed my workout which is neat, but I couldn't access the peak heart rate. Guess I should read the instructions. This is the best heart rate monitor I have had among dozens at the cheapest price.
