Sports reviews of Timex Ironman T59751 Midsize 30-Lap Digital Fitness Heart Rate Monitor WatchCustomer Review: easy to use Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
I liked this watch alot. It was very easy to program. The strap that goes around the chest is a bit uncomfortable for a woman thats well endowed. I still just use the watch for everyday ware. If you want to see your pulse i suggest you just take it manually.
Customer Review: good product but... Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
Good product and has gives you a lot of information.
But after a year using the watch the indiglo light stop working.
I couldn't get it to function!!
Besides that I'm satisfied.
Customer Review: Great Monitor Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
This watch works great. My only issue is that I accidentally hit the stopwatch button and stop my workout time. The heart rate monitor is very accurate. I would buy this again.
Customer Review: Product quality issues but nothing major. Sport shop rating: 3 Stars
I've owned my monitor for one year. I don't know how I ever trained without one. That said, my monitor has also had some issues. The ring to hold the band in place became brittle and cracked/broke and came off several months ago. I now use a band of duct tape in its place. I have also had issues with its accuracy, but I find that I can fix it with a battery replacement in the chest strap (which if find to be so comfortable that I don't even feel it when I'm wearing it.) I can replace the battery myself, so that's a cheap fix. I use the monitor five days a week for 1 to 2 hours, so I'm not sure if having to replace the battery four times in a year is unreasonable or not. I can usually tell that the battery is dying when I start seeing Max HR 240 reads showing up. The chest strap MUST be wetted before you put it on if you hope to get it to read well. I have never had a problem with it picking up other signals from machines or other HR monitors. After reading other reviews, I do think that it's a good HR monitor provided that you don't mind the look of a little duct tape.

Good Deal. Buttons are a little weird. You get 5 buttons, which is certainly way more than one would need, but they are assigned poorly.
The instructions are poor when it gets to the advanced features. Basic
Setup of the watch, alarm, modes and use of the stop-watch or timer are fairly well explained. Use of the Heart-Rate Monitor is poorly explained through all three books ... everybody expects you to go somewhere else.
Most troublesome is that there is a manual-setting for the hear-rate range but no instruction at all on how to set it to an upper and lower limit range which has been prescribed by a qualified coach or physician. It is not too hard to figure out how to select one of the built-in ranges.
I have not been able to figure out how to set it, myself.
So I just look at the thing every minute or so and check to see if I'm where I ought to be ... probably better to pay attention to it myself anyway.
