The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet)--suitable for swimming but not for diving. All Timex heart rate monitor sensors have batteries that can be replaced by consumers without requiring them to be returned to the manufacturer.

I'm the fitness professional from New York City. These two Timex models T59751 and T5C411 (out of stock for now) been my favorite for more than a year. I own both, my clients purchased these models also, and so far no one had any troubles with these monitors.
I think, functionality wise they go hand to hand with Polar ones, but price is much more affordable. And that says it all!
p.s. don't know anything about Timex customer service, because I didn't need to call them yet. Let's hope it will stay this way.

Frankly speaking I bought this watch because it is the most good looking heart rate monitor on the market. I have read some bad reviews about Timex heart rate monitors but wanted to give them a chance based on the good experience that I had with the brand. It was surprising to see how easy it is to use the heart rate monitor. This watch has a wide display and you can set up the display mode in three different ways. I own this watch, the heart rate strap, and the data recorder. I use it for bicycling, cardio, and general working out. I love downloading the information from the data recorder to my computer to see how effective my workout was. It motivates me and keeps me going when I am tired or sore. It is a great incentive to keep pushing. Closely monitoring the effectiveness of my workouts helps to show progress, even when visually my appearance stays the same.Customer Review: Great customer service

My first monitor did not work, so I called and they replaced it without any problem. Within a few days, my new monitor was in hand and they paid for the shipment to return the failed monitor. I was so afraid that I had made the wrong decision to buy online, but they put my fears away. It is really good, the same or perhaps better than other monitors but cheaper. Be aware the size fits you correctly. i.e. By accident I got the one for "smaller wrists" for me was good due I am very thin, but for a "bigger guy" this one will look small. I did not know about this different sizes.
