Customer Review: Couldn't ask for an easier install

We are about to take the family on our summer vacation and our family of four, including two little kids, can no longer fit all of our luggage into tha small cargo hold of our Subaru Forester. We opted to buy these rails along with a waterproof luggage bag to mount to the roof. There is not much to say about these rails other than that, as other reviewers have pointed out, they are exactly what they say they are: sturday, durable rails that adapt easily to most vehicle's existing cross bars. i installed them in under 20 minutes, which would easily have been 10 if I hadn't stopped to make a few spacing adjustments along the way. I am not sure if I will ever understand why these rails (not just these in particular, but all of them in general) cost so much, even at Amazon's competitive price, but I will say that they are well engineered and built, which makes absorbing the cost much easier. We are very happy with the purchase and foresee staying that way. Thanks, Thule and Amazon.

Complete Load Carrier System for Vehicles with Raised Rail Factory Installed RoofracksThe Thule 45050 CrossRoad Complete Roof Rack System with Load Bars consists of a set of to 50-inch load bars held by a set of foot packs attached to your vehicle by a fit kit. The Crossroad system includes four feet, two 50-inch load bars (with endcaps), and four lock mounts. The load bars attach directly to your car's factory roof rails, so no fit kit is necessary. Rubber-coated steel straps ensure a custom fit and secure attachment. A 4-pack of Thule Locks are also included for added security. This rack system comes backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
