The Ripple is an inline action board that fuses sufing, snowboarding and skateboarding. The Wave's two wheel rotating design makes it fun for sharp turns and 360's. The flexible platforms allows you to carve uphill and downhill. Like the Wave, the Ripple is distinguished by a spring-oriented torsion bar that controls the flexible front and rear panels, along with a pair of fully rotating 360-degree wheels with ABEC5 bearings. Once on the board, the rider merely twists his or her hips back and forth in an S-shaped motion to propel down the street, with no foot propulsion required. Even better, it takes only a few minutes to learn how to ride the Ripple. Within a few hours, most riders will become proficient. And riders needn't worry about the Ripple's durability, as the platforms are made of a virtually indestructible ABS plastic, while the steel torsion bar never wears down. This "Cyclone" version of the Ripple, which is designed for riders between the ages of 5 and 14, measures 28 by 8 by 5 inches (W x H x D), weighs 8 pounds, and carries a one-year warranty.

My son loves his Ripple. Great intro into this new type of street board. Much different than skateboarding.
Took him about a dozen attempts to get the hang of getting started. Best to practice on a slight downhill grade to gain momentum.
Highly recommended. Seems superior in quality/durability to Ripstik.

I've purchased from Amazon before and never had any problems. The Ripstik I ordered came missing pieces so beware. The ad said it was new but when it was received it was missing an entire caster, axle, and wheel. I'm actually writing to warn people in regards to Street Surfing. I am trying to purchase either this product, or another similar Street Surfing board. I have left messages for three days on their recorder and with an answering service company but received no call back. If they are unable to return calls to someone attempting to buy a product, you can be assured you would have a terrible time getting assistance after purchase. The user reviews are good, but all just be aware that if you have trouble with a purchased product you're probably on your own.
