Customer Review: It's not a "Ripstick" but it looks the same to me

My daughter put a Ripstick on her Christmas list this year. So I shopped around and found this product that looked like a ripstick to me. The price was much better; she's a smallish 10 year old so I thought this small board looked like it was just the thing for her. It's cute looking too. Well she was happy when she opened it, actually ecstatic. Then she went outside to play and her friend must have clarified for her that what she had was NOT a Ripstick brand product. Oh well then my daughter started clarifying for me, "Its not a Ripstick." I clarified a few things for her, so now she's over the logo issue and enjoying her board with the two wheels. She's finally able to ride it standing up rather than sitting down and paddling the floor with her hands. She's so excited.
If its a "Ripstick" your kid has to have then you might consider that this is not that product. However, this product is well made, looks nice and seems to fit the smaller kids pretty well. The wheels spin freely, (indicating it is well made) and its durable. You decide.
Description of The Wave Ripple Junior Street Surfing Board-Cyclone
The Ripple is an inline action board that fuses sufing, snowboarding and skateboarding. The Wave's two wheel rotating design makes it fun for sharp turns and 360's. The flexible platforms allows you to carve uphill and downhill. The Ripple is for riders ages 5 to 14.Everyone's talking about the Wave street surfer inline action board, which blends the sensations of surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding in a single fun design. The Wave--which runs on two wheels rather than four--gives you the ability to perform precision 360s in small spaces, carve downhill, and even ride uphill, making it a blast for riders of all ages. And, of course, riders can perform all manner of skating tricks, including manuals, board leaps, ollies, acid drops, kick flips, and more. This particular version of the Wave, called the Ripple, is specially designed to meet the needs of younger riders. It's proportionally smaller than the Wave in length and width, letting the rider take a narrower stance to match his or her riding needs, yet still offers the same level of maneuverability and performance.
Like the Wave, the Ripple is distinguished by a spring-oriented torsion bar that controls the flexible front and rear panels, along with a pair of fully rotating 360-degree wheels with ABEC5 bearings. Once on the board, the rider merely twists his or her hips back and forth in an S-shaped motion to propel down the street, with no foot propulsion required. Even better, it takes only a few minutes to learn how to ride the Ripple. Within a few hours, most riders will become proficient. And riders needn't worry about the Ripple's durability, as the platforms are made of a virtually indestructible ABS plastic, while the steel torsion bar never wears down.
