Really excellent, exactly what I was looking for.
Getting ready for a Spring canoe trip on a more challenging river than we've attempted before, and we're expecting rain the whole time.
The bag arrived 2 days after placing the order, and I couldn't be happier with it.
It is definitely water proof, standard folding top design for a dry bag. Very thick and durable material. This 43x25 bag contains our two XL sleeping bags and our tent, and I'll gladly toss it in the bottom of the canoe (which will inevitably collect water). We might dump the canoe, but I'll rest easy knowing all my gear is dry.
I was actually watching YouTube videos of the river we're going to, and noticed a fellow floater had the exact same bag stuffed full in the bottom of his canoe. Someone else obviously had the same idea.
Something to point out - I didn't realize this also has two backpack-style straps which make this totally easy to carry. That was a pleasant surprise. Might not hold up for hiking, but for moving small distances, this is a great convenience.
I shopped around - you might be able to find a slightly better bag elsewhere, but you'll spend 5 times more for it. Definitely best bang for buck right here.
FYI - I also got "Overboard 25 Liters Premium Waterproof Backpack Gear Bag, Yellow" for our smaller items, and it is really really nice - very durable and high quality construction. My girlfriend will be carrying that since it weighs less, and together we'll be carrying everything we need, and keeping it dry!
