Achieve a better back, better body with Teeter Hang Ups. The industry leader since 1981, Teeter Hang Ups has focused solely on producing the best value inversion equipment with time-proven design features that ensure dependability and user security. In just a few minutes a day, you can experience a wide range of benefits, including temporary relief of back pain, improved posture through better alignment, stimulated circulation and reduced stress. When you want a natural, in-home solution for a healthier back, try inversion ¿ if you value quality, look to Teeter Hang Ups. Engineers specifically designed the EP-550 to follow the natural curves of the back for a more comfortable and effective inversion experience. New Flex Technology allows the table bed to move with you while performing stretches and exercises with ease and precision.
Whether you want to enjoy better posture, reduce back pain, or simply minimize your daily stress load, the Teeter Hang Ups EP-550 inversion therapy table makes a terrific choice. Inversion therapy works by placing your body in line with the downward force of gravity. In the process, inversion elongates the spine, increases the space between the vertebrae, and relieves the pressure on discs, ligaments, and nerve roots. And less pressure means less back pain, as well as fewer headaches and neck problems. Inversion is an ideal therapy for people with persistent spine and muscle problems, in addition to athletes who frequently push their body out of whack through repetitive muscle motions, such as runners, weightlifters, skiers, bikers, and golfers. Studies suggest that inverting yourself a mere 25 degrees for even a few minutes per day can have tremendously positive effects.

The EP-550 is outfitted with such features as Flex Technology, which allows the backrest to bend accommodate your stretches for greater mobility and range of motion; an adjustable foot platform with two settings, allowing you to find the optimum position for ankle comfort and security; and an EZ Angle tether strap, which offers preset angles at 20, 40, and 60 degrees, along with custom angles depending on your preferred position. Other details include an adjustable head pillow for maximum comfort, an instructional DVD, and a 300-pound user capacity. The EP-550, which accommodates people as tall as 6 feet 6 inches, carries a five-year warranty.

Customer Review: EP-550 A High Quality Inversion Table
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I researched several other inversion table manufacturers before deciding to purchase the Teeter EP-550. After three weeks of daily use I can report that I am very satisfied with the product. When hanging upside down you want an inversion table that is manufactured to high standards.
Assembly of the product was easy if you follow the directions. I am 6'1" and my wife is 5'4" so the ability to easily adjust the table is a real plus and encourages daily use. The design of the locking system for your feet and ankles makes you feel very secure when hanging upside down. I find it is best to wear heavy athletic shoes and socks for the best comfort when inverting. There is some pressure on the top of the foot and ankles especially when fully inverted but you quickly get used to it.
One of the best design features is the adjustable pivot point which let's the user control the speed of tilting backwards. This is great when you first start using the product and makes the user more confident to use it alone. There is a also an adjustable strap that allows you to pre-determine the maximum angle of inversion.
The manual urges beginners to limit their inversion to 60-degrees the first three weeks. This allows your body to acclimate to the felling of being inverted and you get all the benefits of spinal decompression. I sit a lot in front of a computer and I find this relieves a lot of tension in my back when I invert in the evening. I am starting to do some of the exercises like curving and rotating the back and the plastic table flexes for more comfort which is another useful feature. I can feel my back and abdominal muscles being stretched during inversion and abdominal crunches while inverted are really challenging. The Teeter unit is very stable and this is reassuring when doing exercises while inverted.
I know there are cheaper tables available but I am very pleased with the Teeter EP-550 after three weeks of use.

Customer Review: Teeter Hang Ups Inversion Board
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I was waiting a couple of months to write a review and felt compelled to do so now as I have made incredible progress in my health since owning this amazing machine. I had back surgery two years ago for a herniated disc (L4/L5) and had gone down hill slowly since the surgery. It seems as though my lower back never got strong after the surgery which eventually led to severe discomfort and ultimately resulting in spasms which would drop me to my knees. 6 months after realizing that I was not fully recovering I went to a chiropractor who taught me how to pop my lower back to relieve the pressure. It helped but over the next year I realized this can't be good for me as I'm not getting better, actually worse. The doctors then sent me to physical therapist which did not help.

While on vacation (year and half since surgery) I was in such discomfort I went to a nearby chiropractor and he said you need to stretch, stretch, stretch (all the time - throughout the day). He put me on his table and stretched me for a few minutes and I felt great. He then suggested an inversion board. He sent me away with some lower back stretches and I got this inversion board. After using it a few days I was getting great results. Both partially and fully inverted I could feel everything (muscles) settling into place similar to getting corrected at a chiropractor, but even better.

With my regular routine of stretching and this inversion board keeping things in alignment my two years of agony are behind me. I try and use the inversion board morning and night and love it. It really is an amazing machine... so simple but extremely effective. I highly recommend watching the video before using it as you need to know how to stretch on the machine to get the most out of it. I just get on it, do a couple of stretches and I'm off it in a few minutes.

Customer Review: Positive first timer - among the converted.

I have a 3-4 disk issue, but most of my problem has to do with muscular system, poor posture, no abs and weak back muscles. I hate exercise. I don't see Chiropractors. I have never purchased any kind of home exercise/gym/yoga thing. My Orthopedist subscribed PT, which kinda helped but it was all about building up muscles in order to correct my spine. I take no drugs except ibuprofen.

My back usually goes out once a year, but most of the time I am just in some kind of pain. I still go to work and even remain active and even play tennis, but last week I couldn't stand up for two days. It was so bad that I contacted all my friends that have chiropractors and was about to arrange a visit when I remembered the infomercial. Most folks that I know that are my age 60+, all have some back issue, but none had tried the device.

The other reviews that I have read were very helpful - strange that there were no negative ones, which is really unusual on Amazon. I bought the 550 and hanging boots(haven't used them) last Sunday, it was delivered Tuesday, assembled in 10 minutes, and after 15 minutes with the DVD, I was inverted. It is a quality, solid product and very well built. It costs about 4 visits to the chiro. I followed all the first timer and start up advice. Very pleased with the whole experience. My back feels really good, but very different, and I am a little taller, and more important, almost painless. My abs feel tighter. Inverting has proved to be very calming. I love the fact that I can 'exercise' wearing normal clothes, probably even with a suit. I do 3 or 4 ten-minute sessions a day. My wife is about to try, as are several of my friends. The real test will be how my back feels in a month, and if I can maintain interest in maintaining a regular schedule.

Customer Review: Excellent results for the last year!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I have owned the EP-850 model for more than a year now. I had lower back pain with the sciatica causing pain and numbness down to my toes. I also had a bulging disk irritated by lying on a table for 40 minutes to get an MRI. The pain was so bad I couldnt lay down or stand up. The pain was unbearable. I noticed a huge improvement after using the inversion table 3 times the first day for only 2-3 minutes. I also had a problem where as I walked my back would "lock-up" for a second or two stopping me in my tracks. It happened many times a day. After the first day this problem went away completely, never to return. I used the table 2-3 times a day for a month and now only use it once a day for maintenance. I also go fully inverted and do sit-ups. I have not had any pain in my back that's worth mentioning in more than a year. If I do something that puts a lot of stress on my back which causes very mild pain, I invert a few times and it's gone. I do go to the chiropractor once every six months or so mainly to get my neck adjusted. I don't think inversion puts enough weight on my neck to get the results like I get in my lower back. In the beginning the doctor had mentioned surgery. I am sure glad I didn't go down that path. I have recommended the Teeter Hang-up to many friends.

I got the EP-850 on [...] because they didn't offer the mesh backing a year ago except on [...]. I still don't see the EP-850 offered anywhere else. I like the larger handles on the 850. It has a very stable platform and I have used it without shoes (I know) and did not feel discomfort.

I wish I could give it 10 stars!

Customer Review: Using it with the Spine-Worx
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I've had back trouble my whole life, partly from injuries and partly due to poor posture, but chiropractors always end up hurting me and doing more damage than good, so I've just lived with it, though I'm developing arthritis in my upper back, and it's sometimes very painful. Then, about 3 weeks ago, I decided to give the Teeter inversion table and the Spine-Worx alignment device a try together.

I use them 2 or 3 times a day, the Teeter first and then the Spine-Worx. At first, the Spine-Worx was super painful, but I put a towel over it, and it helped. Some have said they lay their heads on a pillow, but I found that when I do this, I can't feel where the upper end of the device is with the back of the head, and I may be slanted off in the wrong direction. The Teeter hurt my feet a lot in the beginning, but I now wear two pairs of big, scrunchy socks, and it helps. My husband tried the Teeter once and sort of panicked because it hurt his back so much. I can't get him back on it.

But after my treatment with the 2 devices, I feel taller, and I'm remembering to hold myself more erect. I believe that in time, my posture may be naturally better. Also, when the arthritis pain in my back sets in, I do the treatment and feel a lot better.

So, I'm happy with them so far. I'm using the Spine-Worx without a towel, except for the top, under my head. I can feel it pulling in the directions where my spine is curved slightly, but it's not painful anymore, just feels relaxing and natural. I think using the Teeter first stretches my spine and gets it ready for the Spine-Worx.
