I have the 7x35 binoculars, and they're great! These are very well built, made with metal and rubber (much better that plastic). My last pair fell off the counter and broke into many small pieces. These binoculars should survive a fall off the counter!
The zip zoom is very handy when watching birds. To focus, the nob moves the inward sights (the ones you look into) rather than the outward sights. On many other binoculars the nob move the outward sights. The grease these pieces of glass use gets dirty and hairy after a while, which really annoys me! The Tascos have their greese stored INTERNALLY instead of externally, which meens it will look much better, if you care about that stuff.
The handholds are the perfect size. My last pair were far too small and too light, which will make your hand wabble a bit, which is not good when spying on a bird. The Tascos are a good size for my hand and they weigh just right.
The Tascos have a shocking amount of clarity. I can see the ticks on the neiborhood cat 20 feet away! Anyways, I would defiantly recommend this to a friend. It's a lot of binocular for the buck!
