I just bought one of these at Linens & Things for $29.95, minus the 20% coupon that was in my Sunday newspaper. It's great! Took me less than five minutes to assemble without tools. I'm also confused by the negative reviews. All the pieces were carefully wrapped in plastic...no scratches. I wouldn't use it to put heavy objects on, but it will be perfect to use as a table to eat dinner in front of the TV, or for playing solitare. I'm sure my mom will love it!!!Customer Review: Great product!

I don't agree with other reviewers who did not like this table. I think it's great! I use it as a portable desk for my laptop, both at home and at the university. It helps a lot when taking notes on my computer, because I can adjust the height easily. Before I got the Table-Mate, I had to type on the classroom tables, and I usually ended up with sore wrists because the height was wrong. The table is easily packed up and transported to wherever I need to go.Customer Review: 6 stars for being a muti tasker

This tablemate is perfect for anybody.It has many uses around the house which i could list but it would take to long. It is sturdy enough to hold about 20 to 30 lbs.when the tray is at its level position. The 3 positions is a plus because it gives you more options.The one thing that is a negative is the legs do not fold down completely for storage but everything else folds down(table top and the small bar.other than the legs not folding this is a five starCustomer Review: No warping,works great...

I needed a table for the foot of my bed to put my flat panel monitor on for when I'm working from home. The Table-Mate II fit the bill and works great. There's no warping of the table-top that I can see and it sits perfectly level.
Under the table top there are three sets of notches to control the angle of the top, the secret is to use the MIDDLE setting if you want it level.
Thinking of buying a couple more for gaming tables.

I received a laptop for Christmas, but it just didn't work to use it in my lap. Our regular TV tray kept it too far away so I had to lean forward to use it. Since I can pull the Tablemate II tray up to me I can actually type! I have a large 17" screen so my laptop is not light weight! The tray supports it wonderfully - no bouncing when you are typing or anything like that. I feel very secure with it and think my laptop is very safe.
