The Table-Mate II Folding Table has the following features:

These are truly great TV trays, work tables, laptop desks, etc. You name it, I use ours constantly. We are not a family who sits around the dinner table every night, but we are a family who sits in the living room and eats at our TV trays during our favorite show every night! They are very sturdy, very adaptable to people's size and preference, perfect for laptop computing while sitting on my couch on a leisurely Sunday morning. I love them. You can clean them with bleach or a "Magic Eraser" without doing any damage to the surface, they are easy to use, and are incredibly durable, not to mention you don't need to hunch over at the couch or chair to "lean over your plate"! This is a nice, sturdy table that is very easy to assemble. I purchased this table to replace one that I bought at the drug store last year. It was a different design by a different manufacturer and the table top would not take any weight, no matter how I tightened the adjustment screw.
The Table-Mate II Folding Table does not have any screws to tighten for adjustment. Instead, it has spring pins in each leg that you depress to adjust the height. It is very easy to do. Under the table top itself, there is a metal bar to adjust the tilt of the table. You simply click the bar into one of the slots under the table.
Overall, this is a very nice product. It is very easy to adjust and seems to be very sturdy. I would highly recommend it.

I don't understand all the negative reviews. The only thing I can figure is they're talking about Table Mate I (which I've never tried) or some other brand completely. I've had the Table Mate II for at least 2 years and use it daily for my laptop and occassionally for eating on. It certainly can be set perfectly flat. I wouldn't recommend leaning heavily on it but I rest my hands/arms on my laptop while I type all the time (like now) without a problem. It has held up superbly to my abuse. I'm extremely happy I purchased this and am planning on buying a couple more as gifts (one for my fiance who likes and really wants one like mine).Customer Review: TABLE-MATE II is a great mate

I had purchased a Table-Mate II at a local store and loved it so much I wanted another, couldn't find it. That was a year ago. I cannot lift heavy things and so I went on Amazon and searched for a folding lightweight table and found Table-Mate II again. I love it! You can use as a desk, tilt it for a book prop, eat on it, or even use a lap top on it if you are careful.
I fold it and leave it right beside my chair in the living room. The first one I bought is beside my desk top computer as my "put things here until I can put them where they belong" -- In n other words "my special flat surface" I can quickly fold and remove.
