This folding table does everything the description says it will do. I have MS and this table is easy to slide to my chair, and out of the way when necessary. It is very comfortable for typing on a NetBook. I wrote my first novel on this table. SLOPE: A Colorado Mystery, sells on Amazon books and Kindle.
One thing you cannot do is fall into the table. I did and bent the legs. I just ordered my second table with 1-day shipping. After a while, I got to rely on the table. I can't stand not having one.
The top is easy to keep clean. It resists stains. A damp cloth removes just about any mark. At least any I've come across so far.
Having written a 60,000 word novel on one of these tables, I highly recommend the table for writers. It works well for web surfing. When company comes, they use the table for a variety of tasks.
In summary, this table became an important part of my life.

I have had a Tablemate II for about 4 years and I love my table. About six months after I purchased my table, I bought another one for a close friend who is in a wheelchair. He thought he wouldn't use it, but now if he comes in the livingroom and his table isn't there, he gets really upset. He uses his for eating, writing bills, etc. I recently moved to the Philippines, and in the family I am staying with, one of the daughters is in her last year of college. When I unpacked m Tablemate II, she asked if she could use it, and soon it became apparent that unless I got her a table, I would have a hard time getting mine back. The people at Amazon really came through for me, and the young lady is so proud to have her own table! Tablemate II is one of the most versatile products I have ever used. Thanks again to all the people who assisted me in making this young lady happy!

I have had a Table Mate II for a few years now. I decided to order a second one so that I can use one to eat on and one for my laptop. The new one I just ordered is identical to the original one I have had for years. It was in perfect shape and went together in about 30 seconds. I have seen some reviews where people said this wasn't an actual Table Mate II and didn't have the Table Mate II logo on the tray. Mine does. I wonder if they ordered it from a different page or something. The only difference between my old one and my new one is that the new one has a slide out "cup holder" on the right side. It isn't very sturdy and therefore I wouldn't put a drink in it, but I find it very handy for paper clips, binder clips and other things in when I am working. Overall I am very pleased with the product and would order again if something were to happen to my old one.Customer Review: Very Handy and Versatile - Love It!

I was so happy with the first Table-MateII that I purchased last year that I purchased an additional one this year, and the new one has the added improvement of a retractable cup holder on the side. I am disabled so I needed something lightweight and easy to move for my laptop that I use while sitting in my wingback chair. It is so lightweight and glides so easily on the carpet it is easy to move away from me when I want to get out of my chair. The other table I use for a variety of things include a little extra counter space in my small kitchen when I need it. At night I move it next to my bed with all my meds etc in easy reach. These are great quality for the price. I would definitely recommend to a friend. These are great for lightweight things like a laptop or coffee pot and toaster however would not work for anything heavy like a small microwave.Customer Review: I've had Table Mate II for over 2 years and I love it!

I haven't left reviews for many products but when I saw the negative reviews for the Table Mate II I felt I had to set the record straight. I am in no way connected with the company that makes or the places that sell Table Mate. As for the negative reviews, the only thing I can figure is they're talking about Table Mate I (which I've never tried) or some other brand completely. I've had the Table Mate II for at least 2 years and use it daily for my laptop and occassionally for eating on. It certainly can be set perfectly flat. I wouldn't recommend leaning heavily on it but I rest my hands/arms on my laptop while I type all the time (like now) without a problem. It has held up superbly to my abuse. I'm extremely happy I purchased this and am planning on buying a couple more as gifts (one for my fiance who likes and really wants one like mine).
