Sports reviews of TKO Doorway Pull up BarCustomer Review: Very strong Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Good product, actually ripped out of the wall, but thats a testament to the strength of the bar, and my crappy wall. excellent if you have wider than a standard doorway.
Customer Review: decent pull up bar very wide Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
well, i am pretty pleased with the tko, i have bee wanting a pull up bar since the middle school for some reason. the tko is the only bar i found that is so wide. it goes to 50 inches i think ( i needed 40+ inches) most bars top out at 38. the bar seems to support my weight fairly well (190-200) but i try to grip it wide to be safe. i would not try to hold it right in the middle if you are heavy and putting it up wide like i did. still im willing to bet its one of the better bars out there. if i could change something besides possibly an even thicker gauge of steel, it would be to make the handgrips adjustable which they are not. that is annoying and dumb, but hey i gave this bar 4 out of 5 stars so i guess i liked it
Customer Review: this one can't spin and thats good Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
I bought a bar that looks exactly like this at Sports Authority. IT seems to be the only one that solves the problem of the bar spinning. With the design of the ends of the bar and how they fit in the brackets it cannot spin. What it says about portability in the description is nonsense. You absolutely must use the brackets and they MUST be screwed in securely. My bar came with no foam hand grips, just as the one pictured. My bet is you get no hand grips. But you do get a chrome plated steel bar thats not going anywhere once you get up. Sports Authority had it for $14.99
Customer Review: pull.....up...... Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
hey, this is the only way to get your 20 pull ups in the PFT marines!!! Do 5 every time you walk under the bar and a few max sets a day and you should be up to 20 in no more than 6 weeks....unless your a fat body! then you need to go run! Also this fit my 40" doorway fine, It should fit up to 46" door easy I only wish the grips were moveable. Until net time.....Stay motivated!!
Customer Review: Sturdy, Well-made, slightly silly design Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
Keeping in mind that designing a pull-up bar isn't exactly nuclear physics, this is a solid product overall. The drawback is that the grips are both in a fixed location, so that no matter how you mount it, you will be off to one side just a little. Does that really matter when doing pull-ups? No. This is a decent pull-up bar. Do your pull-ups, folks.
