I purchased this cordless broom based on reviews of this item, my brother's experience with the product and reviews of similar items. I wanted an electric broom for a hardwood floor area that gets messy after meals with our 20 month old child. Attached to the hardwood floor room is the kitchen that has large uneven tile and I was hopeful the sweeper would help in that room as well. Cleaning carpet was not one of the objectives for the electric broom.
After a solid month of using the sweeper I have been ecstatic at it's usefulness. After proper charging I have not have a battery issue that some reviewers have experienced. There are a couple of mats in the rooms of intended use and the sweeper does a decent, but not perfect, job of cleaning them. On hardwood floors the sweeper does it's job and does it well. Rice, toasted o's, dried sliced olives and general food mess have not stopped the swivel sweeper G2. The small side brushes do a decent job at getting into the deep grout of the uneven tile in the kitchen, but are not always effective. Often I have to move the sweeper in several directions and go over the grout several times to kick the mess to someplace where the sweeper can do it's job.
Those two rooms are cleaner now than 1 month ago as we use the sweeper after every meal because it's easier to use than a regular broom and dust pan. Be aware this device and it's limitations and it will help you with your daily cleaning needs. Ignore it's limitations and you will not be happy with your purchase. I'm happy with this product and would recommend it to others that have similar cleaning needs.
