They sell these at WalMart in pairs for $18.88. An amazing deal since you'll often pay anywhere from $50-$100 for a pair of this quality. Very sturdy anywhere from 26" closed to 56" open. I have used these on numerous hiking trips and they have not let me down. They have shock absorption built in and have 3 available tips. Carbide, pointed rubber and rounded rubber similar to a cane stub. I cannot say enough about my experiences with the Swiss Gear products. I have a Swiss Gear laptop bag and after about 6 months of use the sewing that holds the handle to the bag came undone. I emailed the company and they simply asked me to email them a picture of the defect. I did and a new bag arrived in the mail 2 days later, no questions asked! I didn't even have to send the old one back. I'm confident if the hiking poles failed me that I would be able to easily get replacements. Anyway, they really take the shock off of the knees and the weight off the feet for those long trips through the woods or up the mountain.
