Transports up to 2 bikes. Compatible with 1 1/4" and 2" receiver hitch. It has a built in anti-woble hitch device. Upright ratchedt arms easily adjust to different bike frame sizes. It will accomodatge bike framse up to 59cm. The center arm folds down to allow acccess to the rear of the vehicle without removing the rack. Fits 20: to 29" tire sizes. I looked at better quality (heftier and nicer wheel holders) that ranged from $275 on up to $600. Yes, they are nice, but why pay that much when this functions perfectly fine? I had a universal bike holder before that was such a pain to put on my SUV I actually didn't bother at times to hook up. Now, it's literally a few minutes and you are ready to go! I love that! And taking the bike off are extremely quick! The bikes stay perfectly in place and I never worry about keeping track through the rear view mirror while going down the road.
If there's a drawback, I'd say that its that a person could steal by taking each pivot point apart (unless you put locks everywhere). I don't worry about that where I live.

I needed a bike rack that would work for my road bike and my wife's Schwinn cruiser that doesn't have a top bar. There are products that that attach to the bike to simulate a top bar so I can hang it but this Swagman bike rack takes care of the problem without the extra equipment. The rack takes some assembly but very easy in my opinion. The rack is not that heavy and attached right to my Yukon. When you set the bracket widths to your bike and snug the padded hook down, the bikes are nice and secure. The Schwinn was secure even with the low point of contact for the hook. I was very impressed with the functionality and ease of use. Would recommend for any bike but especially when you need to carry bikes without the top bar.Customer Review: Great Product!!

I have used the Swagman XC Cross-Country 2-Bike Hitch Mount Bike Rack many times. I feel it is a quality built product and also a very versatile mounting system for many frame styles and sizes. The bikes are securely mounted and the threaded bolt-style hitch pin make this a very rattle free and stable mounting system. Once you figure out the best mounting position for your bikes, they are then very quick and easy to load and unload. I considered many styles and brands of bike racks before I made this purchase. I also bought the Swagman 2 Bike add-on for this rack. Now I can have one 4/bike rack, or use it as 2 individual 2/bike racks. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this product.Customer Review: Excellent Product

I have used this product about three times since I bought it. It has been incredible. It is extremely easy to load the bikes, and they are more than secure. I bought another bike rack a year ago, but needed to return it because it swayed about a foot back and forth. This one does not sway an inch. It is also very lightweight compared to my last rack, and easily folds up for trunk storage. I'm incredibly impressed, and I will get the extension in the future when I need it.
Also, many people said there was no way to lock this rack. There is. Mine had two small holes you could place a small padlock through. The locks' presence blocks the lifting of the two support hooks.

This is a wonderful bike rack. It works as advertised and is of high quality. I did have one slight problem, however. I noticed on some of the reviews that you could use a standard padlock to secure the padded bar down on to the bike to prevent theft. I purchased regular padlocks but found the holes where the padlock went through were to small. I purchased smaller locks, but they were to small and you could still pinch the latch to remove the bar. I ended up using a drill to open up the holes a bit. The standard padlocks now work and they do secure my bike.
Aside from that, a great product. Easy to use and set up, very happy with the product.
