So far, I have been pretty happy with this product. It is large enough for my helmet when parked, or my purse and u-lock when biking. The lock is a nice feature as I can lock up the small accessories on my bike so I don't have to take them with. I didn't give it 5 stars as the mounting was more difficult than I expected. It seems like some of the holes for use with the hardware were not spaced quite right, at least for my rack (rack that came with my Breezer bike). I did eventually get it mounted by attaching the rear hardware diagonally. Now that it's mounted, I like that it doesn't move around as much as my old soft trunk bag did.Customer Review: GMarkland

A good dry lockable place to put a few things. Great for a bag of groceries. I keep pump and tools there. I too had the plastic latch clips fly off and am looking for a replacement.Customer Review: Very Cool

This pod looks great on my bike and everyone wants to know where I got it (Amazon). I do like it but it has a few design flaws. Both latches broke the first week I got it and the lock and key could be a lot better. I've had issues with the lock, a little WD40 helped somewhat. I like to pack a small thermal cooler when I ride so the pod is great for storing my Coleman while I'm away from the bike. I also use it to store my Ulock and cable chain while I'm riding. It's a nice accessory but far from perfect.Customer Review: Good but...

This is an update to my previous review (which I have included below). I am changing my rating from 4 stars to 1 star because I have discovered the lock is a complete joke. I "locked" this container, returned to it later, and forgetting that it was "locked" easily pulled it open, breaking the "locking mechanism" (sic) in the process! It turns out the upper portion of what they claim is a lock is simply a small tab of plastic that breaks off very easily. This product is a great idea but the execution is comically awful. (If some manufacturer happens to be reading this review there is a great business opportunity here for a well-designed an executed version of this product.)
(here is my previous review) I bought this specifically because it locks. I had recently purchased a set of very nice panniers (fortunately on sale) and after using them for only one day they were stolen off my bicycle. This cargo container attached easily to my rack and would be very difficult to remove without access to the inside of the container. The lock itself is low security but so far has deterred all thieves. I read in another review that one of the side latching mechanisms fell off. This also happened to me when I bumped the container against a post, fortunately it reattached easily and I haven't had any problems since. One virtue of this unit is that it holds a fair amount of stuff. I can easily stop at the grocery store and buy dinner for my family of four without worrying about having enough space to carry the groceries home. In sum, this is a nice "bike trunk" and I'd recommend it, although it's a little on the flimsy side.
