Description of Surefire LED 80 Lumens Lamp Reflector AssemblyLight emitting diode/reflector assembly that converts any SureFire flashlight that uses a P60, P61, P90, or P91 incandescent lamp assembly into a longer-running (and higher-output when replacing a P60 lamp assembly) LED flashlight. The P60L's solid-state LED and precision reflector create a smooth, 80-lumen beam that's bright enough to temporarily overwhelm an aggressor's night-adapted vision. And it continues producing useful light levels for up to 12 hours on a single set of batteries, depending on which flashlight model it's used in. Unlike LED conversion heads, which replace the flashlight's entire bezel assembly, the P60L replaces only the incandescent lamp/reflector assembly. Simply unscrew the flashlight bezel, remove the incandescent lamp assembly, and drop in the P60L.
Sports reviews of Surefire LED 80 Lumens Lamp Reflector AssemblyCustomer Review: Great Replacement for the Standard Bulb Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this to upgrade my standard G2 to an LED. It was an easy replacement and cheaper than buying a whole new light from Surfire. All you have to do is unscrew the lens cap, pull out the old assembly, put in the new one, and replace the cap. It really is that simple.
The light produced is a lot whiter and brighter than the standard bulb and battery life seems to have increased a good bit. I'm currently running on a pair of 123's that are about 50% depleted and the LED is still brighter than the original halogen. I'd love to see what it could do on full 123's.
All in all, I would highly recommend this LED upgrade if you use your Surefire for camping and are tired or burning through a set of batteries a campout. It also adds the extra durability of LED so you don't have to worry about dropping the torch and losing your bulb.
Customer Review: Great and works in my Ledwave Z-5. Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I have a "budget" Ledwave Z-5 rail mount light that I couldn't find a replacement bulb/lamp-assembly for, as they are made in Spain. After lots of research online I found a blog by someone who compared the Z-5 to his Surefire light and tested the Surefire lamp assembly in his Z-5 and it worked perfectly. So then I found this LED version of the Surefire lamp here on Amazon and decided to try it. Even though the LED lamp assembly is more expensive than the normal "zenon" lamp I decided to get it because of the durability, longevity, and reduced battery consumption of LED bulbs in general. Well it works perfectly in the Z-5 light. I'm thrilled. Now I can continue to get more use out of my "budget" light with a high quality LED lamp assembly. Great product.
Customer Review: The upgrade you were wanting. Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I dropped my SureFire 6P and managed to break the bulb filament at a crucial time when I needed the light. On the plus side, it gave the the opportunity to purchase this upgrade LED lamp, which is brighter and longer lasting -- but more to the point, able to survive a fall which will put the regular bulb out of commission. It does not change the look of your light, since it drops in to replace the original bulb assembly, and it's made to the same specs.
I had always slightly regretted not spending the additional money on the LED version of the flashlight, and this assembly corrects that.
Customer Review: A great upgrade Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
The LED bulb is a great upgrade for any Surefire light. The LED is the future, increased run time, brightness and battery life make it well worth is weight in gold. To make it even better the LED bulb costs about the same as a replacement incandescent bulb for the same light so you can't go wrong with this one. I am slowly replacing all of my Surefire incandescent bulbs with these as they burn out. If you have a Surefire running a 60 lumen incandescent bulb you can't go wrong with this product.
Customer Review: Outstanding LED Upgrade Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This LED upgrade turned my Surefire 9P into a long lasting powerhouse. I use it to pre-flight DC-10s and have no problem seeing the entire airplane from the ground. Also, with the LED, my lithium batteries last months instead of a few pre-flights and it is still brighter than a 4D Mag Light. If you have the 9P, get this upgrade!!!
