I use this food jar to take hot food to work for lunch. When I preheat the jar with very hot water and fill it completely with well heated food, it is usually still steaming when I open it about 4-5 hours later. I have to blow on my food to cool it off! I like the sturdy metal construction and the nice wide mouth... and for me the size is just perfect (some other food containers are a bit on the small side).Customer Review: Stanley 20oz. Great Vacuum Bottle. Keeps all kinds of food hot for a long time.
I gave it to my husband to take with him to work on the train. He is a conductor. It holds the perfect amount of food for one hungey guy and it is still hot when your ready to eat. JUST LOVE IT !!! May
get a second one for cold drinks and see if it does just as well.

I highly recommend this item. It keeps my lunch hot all day.
Very easy to clean. No leakage.
Just a caution though... this thermos works so well that if it's boiling hot when you put it in, it will still be boiling hot 8 hours later. And it does not cool down quickly, even with the lid off. I started putting my food in at the temperature I wanted to eat it and everything was fine.

I was previously sending my child's lunch in a plastic thermos, the food was room temperature by lunch time, but I figured it would hold off the bacteria a little longer, and didn't think there was a better alternative. Was I wrong! My child brought his leftovers back home in the stanley one day, and it was still warm, some 9 hours later! Very satisfied. I followed the instructions that came with the Vacuum Food Jar and the food jar worked extemely well. I put soup in it at 8:30AM and I had the soup for lunch at 1:45PM. The soup was still hot and I had to blow on the soup before I ate it.Stanley 20oz. Bolt Vacuum Food Jar
